Update: I decided to try the retinol pads and I love them even more! I still use the Vitamin C but the retinol makes my skin so soft and supple and my dark spots have definitely improved with both of them. So much so my husband told me the other day you don’t need to wear makeup your skin is so pretty (ok blow me over with a feather!). I have been using them for almost a year and they work so well they are now a permanent part of my routine. If you want to go up a notch try the Olay dry cleansing cloths in the blue package- it has an exfoliating side. I like to use them on full makeup days and follow with a half of one of these pads for a double cleanse - it’s a game changer!!! Just to be clear I double cleanse because the Estée Lauder Double Wear makeup is hard to get off. Try them!! I didn’t know I needed these but they came across my feed during prime days and I was curious after reading a lot of positive reviews. I have used a half a pack and I will say I am impressed. I wash my face twice a day and my skin is so soft and clean but not tight. We just moved from a humid state to a very dry state and my skin was a mess when I started. I had a lot of redness, ruddiness and dryness. Over the past few years I have also battled melasma , discoloration, and my pores have become very enlarged. Just in the two weeks I have been using these gems my pores on my nose have reduced significantly in size and the discoloration is slowly getting better which I am thrilled about. (I chose the Vit C option). They are scented but to me it’s not bothersome at all. So the description says it’s a makeup remover as well as a face wash. Umm yes and no. I wear Maybelline mascara, Tarte concealer and Estée Lauder double wear foundation set with Laura Mercier setting powder. I wanted to see if it would take it all off and the makeup yes it comes off as long as I do a swirly motion all over my face, add a little water and more swirlies then it comes off no problem. That in itself is a win because that makeup is hard to remove without using an oil. The concealer is an hard no and mascara it removed only half. Around the eyes this cleanser stings a bit. So I have to continue to use my trusty Mary Kay eye makeup remover. A note about using them, don’t wet your hands before you open the package and get one out because they stick to you immediately. Same issue in the shower put in a dry spot until you are ready to use it. When you add a few drops of warm water and they start dissolving immediately and suds my gosh they are sudsy which is why they clean so well. Every once in a while a corner doesn’t dissolve all the way which isn’t a deal breaker just add more water. To cleanse makeup free skin you could honestly cut them in half and still have plenty to cleanse with which makes them more economical and brilliant for hiking, camping, and traveling. Will I buy these again….absolutely because I am really pleased with the results on my skin. I have tried so many brands from Ulta and QVC and these honestly are in my top 3! I like how convenient these are for travel and it takes up little space in the bathroom. We are going to Europe next summer and these will be great for a quick wash on the long plane ride and not having to deal with travel containers. A baggie will suffice and away we go! Most of the packaging is recyclable which is an added bonus (the plastic tray is marked 5 which unfortunately my recycler doesn’t take). For me these are a definite two thumbs up!

I liked these Olay Face Cleansing Melts so much that I ended up setting up a subscription for them. I also use the Olay dry cleansing cloths, and I like having both because they give me different options for washing my face and taking off makeup. Washing my face can feel like a chore sometimes, so having easier options makes me more likely to actually do it. These melts are especially great when I want something quick and simple. What I like: • Great for travel • Lightweight and easy to pack • Nice to keep in a toiletry bag • I keep a few in a little case with my other travel items • No liquid bottle to spill • Easy to use at home or away • Activates with just a little water • Does not take much water to get it going • Turns into a nice cleanser once wet • Great if I have a washcloth and want to use one • Also works well just using my hands for a quick face wash • Nice option when I do not want to deal with a full skincare routine • Helpful for basic face washing and makeup removal • Different from a traditional bottled cleanser • Convenient enough that I subscribed Things to be aware of: • You only need a small amount of water to activate it • I usually cup the melt in one hand and splash a little water on it with my other hand • Then I swish it around in my hand to blend it together and make the cleanser • If you add too much water right away, it may be messier than needed • These do not give you the same cloth feel as the Olay dry cleansing cloths • If I want more of a scrubby cloth-style clean, I use the dry cloths instead • These are better for quick, simple cleansing Overall: I really like these Olay Cleansing Melts and think they are especially useful for travel. They are small, lightweight, easy to pack, and do not create the mess or spill risk of a liquid cleanser bottle. I like that I can use one with a washcloth if I want to, or just activate it in my hands for a quick wash. They make washing my face feel easier, which is a big plus for me. I liked them enough to subscribe, and I like keeping a few in my toiletry bag so I always have them ready.

Loved having this on my two week trip. So much easier than traveling with liquid face wash. Lathers up very easily. Feels soft on skin and rinses off with ease. No harsh smell and not drying. Was effective at washing off makeup. Very pleased with this product.

I have very sensitive skin and I have started traveling more. Several of those trips are back and forth to Europe via plane and cruise ships. So I was in search of a way to easily carry my face wash and moisturizer with me on the planes and also not have them spill. My search led me to the Olay Face Wash Cleansing Melts. I bought two kinds of the melts and switch them off every day, the hyaluronic ones and the retinol ones. Although after reading some of the reviews, I'm also thinking of adding the vitamin C ones too. Anyway, these melts have been a game changer for me. Before when my job had me traveling a lot I'd use little samples I would have from several different companies to wash and moisturizer my face, never knowing if my face would be a huge red and burning mess from them. Now I don't have to worry about that. I have been using Olay products most of my life since my mother also uses Olay products. So I knew my sensitive face would be happy with these melts. And the fact that I don't have to worry about them spilling, I keep some in my plane kit, carryon, and suitcases! On long flights, when I freshen up before landing, I can now also really wash my face (and not just use face wipes) and I have moisturizer on my face from the melts. These little melts lather up a lot too. I might do what others have done and cut them in half to see how that works. But, all I do is wet my face, put one melt in my palm, run water in my cupped hand, and it melts straight away. I then rub my hands together and tons of lather is formed and I gently wash my face and everything comes off. I wear waterproof mascara since I also have oily skin, so I then use a wet rag or paper towel on planes to wipe my eye area clean since I usually have a little bit of mascara residue on my lower eye area. I would definitely recommend these melts for anyone who travels, well, for anyone who wants an easy, already predetermined sized cleanser, that is easy to use -just add water and lather-, and that leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed but not dry or tight in any way!

Got these for a trip. Worked decently but like what others have posted, doesn't always melt completely.

I cut these in 1/4s. One full pad is very foamy. 1/2 of one or a 1/4 of one is good enough for me and it removes my eye makeup. I have purchased this item 3 times now. The first order was the scented one. The scent was too strong for me so I’ve now purchased two orders of the unscented. My skin feels clean and best of all I don’t break out from these. I developed menopausal cystic acne - yay - and I had to stop using a Korean brand I really liked. Tried this Olay cleansing melts and love them. These are great for traveling too! Especially air travel. I cut them up and put them in a small plastic travel container.

These are great for travel. You can even read them in half and still get plenty of cleanser. I do slightly prefer the olay cleansing cloths but I like the melts since they take up less space in a sundries back and generate zero waste. My skin always does great with Olay products when I travel and I’m not using all of my normal skincare.

Love these melts. They have a lot of lather and I even cut them in fourths because I don’t need a whole one, so they last me a long time. Great for travel and no liquids to spill in my luggage or count toward my liquid total. Since they are activated with water, it is a bit tricky to get them out of the container in the shower with wet hands, so I have to take it to the shower with me before I get my hands wet. Worth the extra prep for me. Clean feeling and not too drying.
