These shorts are absolutely adorable! I love dressing up in vintage clothing and I thought these would be a nice alternative to a petticoat for shorter skirts. They provide great coverage and still add some volume, but are less obvious-- a good in between option.They're cute enough to wear as clothing since they're lined and not too sheer. The elastic waist isn't quite as cute as a solid waistband would be, but it's not unattractive.They're a bit on the snug side, though they will stretch to fit, but if you're on the bigger side of your usual size, size up. My usual size does fit ok, but it's snug enough to leave pretty deep marks on my waistline . It would get uncomfortable if wearing for a long day.My one con is that while the outer fabric is indeed cotton, these have a synthetic lining which makes them less breathable.

I love these bloomers as pajama bottoms. They're comfortable and the quality is high enough to withstand multiple washings. They would also be nice to wear in winter under an A line dress with with tulle petticoats.

These bloomers are so pretty, and the perfect touch to certain costume looks. Unlike most costumes, however, these are made as a garment, not just a cheap accessory. The fabric is light and billowy, with a faint stripe of white on white. There is plenty of room, and the elastic waist opens quite wide to accommodate a range of sizes. It is lightly lined within. There is lace trim on the pockets, at the bottom of the drawstring hem, and along the outer thighs in several layers. This is the quality you would want if you are wearing authentically styled vintage clothing as opposed to just a costume if that distinction makes sense. It is lovely and made well.
