MPG 271QRX QD-OLED 5 Star Review
Monitor works great and is exactly what I was looking for in a high quality monitor! Easy to setup and the perfect refresh rate for high FPS games. The 27-inch QD-OLED panel delivers vibrant colors, deep blacks, and impressive contrast, making games and media content look stunning. The 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution strikes the perfect balance between sharp visuals and high refresh rates, providing a smooth and immersive experience. I’ve used it for both gaming and work, and it excels in both areas with its fast response time and crisp text clarity. The build quality is solid, and the overall design adds a premium feel to my setup. Whether for fast-paced gaming or detailed creative work, this monitor is a fantastic investment. Highly recommended!

Beautiful and delivers beyond my expectations!
Extremely beautiful monitor and delivers beyond my expectations by looking bright and clear for a gaming and entertainment experience. A step above most monitor and competition with its OLED screen and 360 hz refresh rate. As mentioned in other reviews, it includes a displayport cable and hdmi cable in the box for you to use. The hdmi 2.1 also makes it a great monitor to pair with the PS5 and any gaming console besides a PC. It is also easy to switch around between consoles and PC with the KVM switches. The monitor stand itself is pretty heavy and the monitor locks in pretty easily during assembly. The height is perfect for my current set-up, and I was able to have room to display things below the monitor screen. However, both a downside and a plus side is the OLED care program installed in the monitor that recommends you to run the program every couple of hours for a few minutes to avoid any burn-in issues. Even so, this was overall a great purchase with plans to keep this monitor for a long time to come.

Awesome Gaming Monitor
This monitor is seriously impressive. The colors are incredibly vibrant, and everything looks sharp whether I’m gaming or watching movies. The OLED panel makes a noticeable difference compared to regular monitors, and the slim design fits well on my desk. Setup was easy, just had to connect the mount to the monitor and the monitor already came with the necessary cables to plug into my desktop. What really stands out is the performance. With a 360Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time, the gameplay feels super smooth. HDR is solid too. Dark scenes actually stay dark without losing detail, thanks to DisplayHDR True Black 400. Plus, MSI’s OLED Care 2.0 helps prevent burn-in, which is reassuring for long gaming sessions. Overall, if you want an OLED gaming monitor with great visuals and performance, this one’s definitely worth it.

Mind‑blowing Colors. My First OLED and I’m Obsessed
This MSI MPG 271QRX has completely transformed my gaming setup. The colors are absolutely stunning and as my first OLED monitor, I’m genuinely amazed by how vibrant and deep everything looks. Games feel more alive, and even everyday use feels premium. The motion clarity is unreal, and the true black levels are awesome. I have an Alienware IPS as my second monitor and it kinda feels bad in comparison. I think I should upgrade that to OLED as well. + I got this monitor because of it's OLED care which after seeing many reviews and getting other users feedback it seems to be much better than other brands. Strengths: Gorgeous colors, perfect blacks, fast response time, and great connectivity with HDMI, DP, and USB‑C (which I use for my laptop). Weaknesses: none yet!

Quintessential WQHD gaming monitor
My favorite feature of the MSI MPG 271QRX has to be the 1440p resolution paired with a refresh rate capable of reaching 360hz. I chose the MSI MPG 271QRX primarily for its balance of performance, design, and price. I had been looking at several high-refresh-rate monitors, but many were priced significantly higher or didn’t offer the same resolution and refresh rate combination. The refresh rate and the 27-inch screen size at a 1440p resolution felt like the sweet spot for both gaming and professional use, especially considering that some competitors either had lower resolutions or more limited refresh rates at similar price points. The MSI MPG 271QRX is an exceptional monitor that performs brilliantly for both gaming and professional use.

Great display and rich color accuracy
Loving the monitor so far. It’s got great color accuracy, the blacks are actually black and super deep, and the 360hz refresh rate feels great. However, I upgraded from a 240hz IPS monitor so I don’t see that much of a difference between 240hz and 360hz but it still feels very nice. Build quality is fantastic but the stand is made of plastic which I would prefer if it was metal. It would feel much more premium this way since the monitor is already expensive. Getting the stand on was easy. Only spent like 5 minutes getting it installed. The size of the monitor is good. Only half an inch smaller than my previous IPS monitor. The display is so thin! This is my first OLED monitor and I was not expecting the display to be as thin as it was. The screen is gorgeous. It makes colorful games really pop. I’ve only had the monitor for two and a half days now and I’ve mostly been testing it with HDR videos and setting it up. I’ve played a few games already and some still look the same but the blacks are fully black this time while other games look incredible now. Also, the glossiness of the screen is amazing. This is my first glossy monitor and I love it. My only negative is the OLED protection stuff it has. The screen will shut itself off and stay off and the only way I was able to turn it back on was to turn the monitor off completely and turn it back on. Thankfully, it does warn you before it does it so you have the option to skip it if you want. Another issue I ran into today actually was that the monitor refused to wake up from sleep. I have my monitors on a sleep timer so after 5 minutes, both displays will turn off and can be woken up by moving my mouse. Today, I came back to my desk to wake my monitors up to resume working on my PC and the MSI monitor didn’t wake up. My secondary Asus monitor tried to but also failed. I had to manually use the reset button on my PC to get the monitor back on. Turns out I’m not the only one with this issue. I asked on reddit and a few others left comments saying they have the same problem. Overall, I highly recommend this monitor. It’s a nice step up from my IPS monitor. The colors look a lot better and the higher refresh rate is a nice touch. I stayed at 1440p because while my 4090 is capable of 4k, I rather not lose fps for a slight improvement in resolution/image quality. It’s not worth it. 1440p is the perfect balance between performance and image quality in my opinion. This is also my first MSI monitor and so far so good.

Disappointed Beyond Words – Avoid This Monitor
Edit: Do not buy if you play any type of competitive games, or games where interruptions can be disastrous. They have a built in “OLED care” that will randomly pop up in the middle of your screen until you turn off your monitor for 10-15 minutes. You can not turn this off in any way shape or form. Look up MSI OLED care if you don’t believe me. It’s there due to their warranty that will cover burn in. But that’s another thing, they don’t pay for shipping. So in the event you have a burn in or anything, to get it covered you will have to pay $100 to ship the thing to them. Original review- I had high hopes for the MSI MPG 271QRX QD-OLED, but my experience has been nothing short of awful. Here's why: Blurry Text and Poor Display Quality The first thing I noticed after setting up the monitor was the horribly blurry text. Trying to work on documents or browse the web is a nightmare. The text clarity is so bad it’s almost like looking through frosted glass. Even after hours of tweaking settings, the issue persists. Off Colors and Ugly Visuals The colors are wildly inaccurate and washed out, despite this being an OLED monitor. I expected vibrant colors and deep blacks, but instead, everything looks oversaturated or muted in weird ways. Watching movies or gaming feels like I’m staring at a poorly calibrated budget TV. The build quality is unimpressive for a monitor at this price point. The stand feels flimsy, and the tilt/height adjustments are awkward to use. The HDR400 performance is mediocre at best—there’s no noticeable improvement in brightness or detail. Verdict This monitor is overhyped and overpriced. Between the blurry text, ugly colors, and subpar gaming performance, it’s a huge disappointment. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone looking for a high-quality display. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Decent quality, but restrictive settings wise
No apparent defects(on day 2), product came in excellent, flawless condition. At its core, this is a decent OLED, and the first full size one I have ever owned. I have gripes with some design decisions in the firmware though. This is not very friendly to those that like to have fine control over the image. There is no height adjustment, you can only tilt the monitor leftward or rightward or up or down. Bad design decisions in the firmware/OSD 1. There is no gamma settings. 2. There is no saturation settings. Something too colorful? Too bad. No way to fix it at the monitor level, only on Linux or Windows PC's you can fix that. There is RGB settings, but they are much less effective than on other monitors for taming excessive color. 3. HDR completely locks image adjustments, forcing you to stay with whatever the content designer decided was best, even if it sucks. 4. No "black level" setting(though unlike on a backlit monitor, its often not needed, though for edge cases where black levels are incorrectly elevated, i'd prefer to have it Extra notes: OLED Care mandates a pixel refresh cycle every so often to prevent burn in. You can defer it for up to 16 hours, but it pops up and recommends refresh every 4. It usually takes about 6 to 10 minutes for me To minimize interruptions, manually initiate a pixel refresh whenever you're not around the monitor. No built in sound, but there is a 3.5mm jack, use your own speakers or headphones. Overall, its solid, didn't get a broken product, but MSI needs to learn to respect consumer choice and customization and not have the firmware settings locked down so badly. I'm sticking with it, but my next OLED will definitely NOT be MSI, I will not be loyal to a brand that skimps on settings.

The Best 1440p Gaming Monitor on the Market, Period.
If you are upgrading from a traditional IPS or VA panel, the jump to the MSI MPG 271QRX QD-OLED is staggering. Pairing a blazing 360Hz refresh rate with OLED’s near-instantaneous 0.03ms response time eliminates motion blur entirely. In fast-paced competitive games, tracking targets feels incredibly fluid, while the visual punch of the Quantum Dot layer delivers deep, vibrant colors and true infinite contrast. Dark, cinematic environments come alive with deep ink-blacks that breathe incredible atmosphere into immersive games. MSI also loaded this flagship with premium quality-of-life features that competitors often skip. The built-in KVM switch and a USB-C port pushing 90W of power delivery make it a dream for a clean, dual-system setup, letting you seamlessly swap peripherals between a gaming rig and a work laptop. Furthermore, the fanless graphene cooling system ensures the monitor operates in total, blissful silence. However, a premium QD-OLED does require minor compromises. If your desk is in a brightly lit room, ambient light reflecting off the glossy screen will raise the deep black levels, giving them a faint purple or greyish tint. Dimming the room lights is essential to see this panel at its absolute best. Additionally, due to the unique subpixel layout, fine text under Windows can exhibit slight color fringing or softness, meaning it is a gaming-first display rather than an ideal choice for heavy text editing or spreadsheets. You also have to accommodate the automated "OLED babysitting" prompts, letting the OLED Care 2.0 software run periodic pixel refreshes to ensure long-term panel health. Ultimately, if you can control your room lighting, this is easily one of the best 27-inch 1440p monitors money can buy, flawlessly bridging elite e-sports speed with breathtaking visual fidelity.

The colors are exteremely dull
The monitor arrived with really bad colors. The colors were awful and dull. I tried to optimize it for hours, but in the end, I ended up refunding it. it's really disappointing as I was really looking forward for it since it was my first oled monitor.

good
The MPG 271QRX QD-OLED is a good option to consider when upgrading your display. With its 27-inch QD-OLED panel, rich colors and deep contrast enhance both gaming and general multimedia use. It's a great choice for competitive gamers with fast-paced games due to its 240Hz refresh rate and quick response time. The HDR is pretty good, although it may not reach the peak brightness some users are expecting. The design is practical with adjustable ergonomics, and connectivity options cover most needs. While it's on the pricier side, for performance and features, it's a worthwhile consideration for those seeking a high-quality monitor.
