ADJ Products VF 1300 1300W Compact Value Fogger

Update 11/27/2024: After using this fog machine semi regularly throughout most of 2024 for public DJ gigs, I still highly recommend it! This has been the absolute best fog machine to have for my gigs. It’s still super fast at reheating, leaves behind no noticeable slippery residue, and works perfectly connected to the ADJ DMX Operator 384 controller. I’d like to note that I have this mounted on top of my 10.8 foot lighting stand, aiming slightly downward. The included mount is plenty strong enough to hold its own weight from above, even fully loaded with fluid! There seems to be some nice rubber gaskets that make this mount very solid when hand tightened. This was an unexpected surprise, and I couldn’t be happier with the end result! Original Review: I am using this fog machine wired up to the ADJ DMX Operator 384, so I will not be commenting on the included wireless or manual remote. This is the fog machine that is designed to work with that DMX controller. All you need to buy separately is the 5 pin DIN (MIDI) cable with male ends on both sides of the cable. I’m using a 25ft cable with no problems. The fog machine itself has amazing output with its 1300W heater inside. Being hooked up to the ADJ DMX Operator 384 is a convenient way to trigger the machine on command, and the heating / ready status is on the controller with LED indicator lights. The time this unit needs to reheat in between output is almost non existent, it’s only about 12 seconds! That is a huge improvement compared to almost 2 minute reheat times on my old fog machines. Another thing I really appreciate is this fog machine burns ALL the fluid, leaving NO slippery residue on floors or other surfaces. It seems like the lower power machines I’ve used always would spray a mist with the fog, which would become a hazard on a dance floor quickly as it is a super slippery residue that’s left behind. Overall this machine gets a big 5 stars for excelling at its core function, along with solid DMX control. Highly recommend this fog machine, it’s worth it over the cheap $40 - $60 machines for sure, especially if you plan to use it connected to the ADJ DMX Operator 384 controller.

This thing is awesome. I used to have two from party city, and together they didn’t even make half the smoke this thing does. On Halloween, Spider-Man picked up my machine and before I could pepper spray him he slammed it into the sidewalk so hard the handle broke off from the force of his throw. I know he’s usually one of the good guys but I think his night wasn’t going so well, and I’m pretty sure he was drunk too. I haven’t done any repairs to the machine. This is the same machine in the video, and it’s months later. The machine makes huge amounts of smoke and doesn’t go through that much fog juice relatively. The remote works from super far away too. I can be all the way down the block and trigger the machine. The remote also has channels, as does the receiver. So I someone had several of these they could configure it so that one remote could trigger one, or some, or all of them based on what channels the receivers are. Pretty cool, I just can’t imagine any event smaller than a Metallica concert that would need multiples of this machine. It’s epic. If you are shopping for a fog machine, stop shopping. You’ve found the machine you want. This is it. Buy it.

Produces a ton of fog! Love the remote! Well worth the money. I use it for house parties!

Update… I contacted ADJ and they worked with me to trouble shoot the problem! It was determined that it was covered under warranty and they are sending me a new machine. I am VERY happy with their customer service! I was really hopeful with this fog machine. It worked great for 2 photoshoots and then stopped working. It is super noisy, the green light doesn’t turn on and only a little bit of fog comes out. I have tried running distilled water and vinegar through it but no luck. I have contacted the company. I’m hoping they have a suggestion for me. If I can get it up and going I will come back and update my review.

Nice solidly build fog machine. Used froggies swamp juice to create a nice medium fog effect with a soft breeze blowing outside that covered our yard and part of the neighbors. The recovery time between bursts was a few seconds and the machine was able to produce plenty of fog to maintain the effect we wanted. Effects rely on so many details other than the machine itself, but this seems to be a nicely made machine and the remote worked perfectly.

Only tested it a few minutes. Works good. Just confused on why it is listed as 1300w when it is clearly labeled as 1200w on the box. 100 watts won't make huge difference, but I expect to get what is advertised and what I pay for!

looking for a fog machine that will serve all of your.. fogging needs... look no further than this here fogger thingy. I bought this fog machine because i wanted a high end fog machine to fog up whatever i need. This product is the best one i have seen yet. it says in the description that the wireless remote doesnt come with it, mine came with one. The fog machine has the power to fog up and entire level of your house in less than 3 minutes i have fogged up my entire basement in less than 30 seconds. The fog machine takes maybe 2 minutes to warm up for me. it rund consistently for about a minute to 2 minutes when you hold down the button so it instantly fogs up and entire room. You wont be able to see your hand in front of your face. i am currently using froggys bog fog and i am in love with it. the hang time is about an hour. this is a very high end fog machine and for your money you couldnt get anything better in my opinion. thanks ADJ for this awesome product.

The fogger is very easy to use, with a simple and intuitive control panel that allows me to easily adjust the output and timing. It is also very efficient, with a 1300W heating element that produces a large amount of fog in a short amount of time. The compact size of the unit makes it easy to transport and set up, making it a great choice for events and parties.

Il prodotto è arrivato con il comando a distanza che non funziona, credo però sia la macchina e non il telecomando. Controllarlo a mano per me è inutilizzabile. Provato ed ha un buon getto.. Più dipende molto dal liquidi utilizzato.

Das ist meine dritte Nebelmaschine. Nachdem die ersten zwei Maschinen leider nach kurzer Zeit bereits wieder den Geist aufgegeben haben, habe ich nach etwas gesucht das in Qualität höherwertiger sein sollte. Mit ADJ habe ich bereits Erfahrung aus dem Lichtbereich gehabt und daher hier zugegriffen. Wichtig zu wissen ist, dass es sich hier um eine Nebelmaschine und nicht um einen Fogger handelt. Der Unterschied besteht primär darin, dass eine Nebelmaschine viel Nebel in einem kurzen Zeitraum ausstoßen soll. Dieser Nebel wird eher dafür verwendet Akzente zu setzen. Während Fogger dazu genutzt werden regelmäßiger gewisse Mengen an Nebel auszustoßen und so den gesamten Raum besser einzunebeln. Je nach Geschmack und Einsatz muss man sich hier also entscheiden. Im Vergleich zur viel kleineren NHL-10 Nebelmaschine von Eurlite (das war die 2te die ich auf Grund eines Defekt zurücksenden musste) stößt die VF 1300 von ADJ viel größere Mengen an Nebel aus. Man merkt schon beim ersten Einsatz, welcher Druck hinter der Düse ist. Auch erkennt man sofort die einwandfreie (auf den ersten Blick) Verarbeitung. Die Maschine kommt mit zwei Fernbedienungen. Eine die via Funk über einen Adapter mit der Maschine Kontakt aufnimmt und eine die via Kabel an die Maschine gekoppelt ist. Die Fernbedienung mit dem fest montierten Kabel hat im Gegensatz zu den bisherigen Nebelmaschinen die ich hatte ein eher kurzes Kabel von geschätzt 3 Meter. Aber das stört eigentlich nicht da ja noch die Funkfernbedienung beiliegt. Diese hat bei mir wunderbar funktioniert. Über den mitgelieferten Bügel kann man die Maschine jederzeit an Wänden anbringen. Der Nebelfluid-Behälter ist fest installiert, kann oben aufgeschraubt und dann befüllt werden. Ein Trichter ist hilfreich aber kein muss da die Öffnung groß genug ist. Die Vorwärmzeit ist der Ausstoßmenge absolut angemessen und beträgt zirka 7 bis 10 Minuten. Die Lautstärke ist sowohl im Leerlauf wie auch beim Ausstoß der Größe der Maschine angemessen. In Räumen mit Beschallung vermutlich ab einem schon relativ geringen Geräuschpegel nicht mehr wahrnehmbar. Bis jetzt kann ich die Nebelmaschine von ADJ nur empfehlen. Sollte auch Sie innerhalb von kurzer Zeit kaputt gehen werde ich die Bewertung aber anpassen und erläutern was das Problem war.
