So far this is working really well. Its a snug fit but fit perfectly!

Wrapping to hose was easy. Heat is barely felt from outer layer. Sometimes you might wrap it too shallow and if so rewrap it. Prioritize the nearest area from exhause first if the hose is long.

Used these for a portable ac hose in our sprinter van. The flex hose from the unit exits through the passenger side front window and the heat it puts off makes it like an oven in that section of the van. I put two sleeves on the exhaust hose. Using one was too short. Two was too long. I just overlapped them. The Velcro is strong and it made a considerable difference in the temperature. About 8-10 degrees cooler. Also decreased the light coming through the flex hose. These are a decent thickness so it will decrease the flexibility of your exhaust hose especially if you overlap them. I may cut one to size as I read other reviews where they did that.

We've had some of the Midea portable a/c units for about a month now, they work pretty well, but as an engineer it really troubled me to feel all that heat radiating back into the room it was supposed to be cooling via the un-insulated exhaust hose.I figured I wasn't the first with this problem, so checking on Amazon I found the AC Hose insulation sleeve we are reviewing here. On the downside, it's not the prettiest addition, but as you can see from the picture it does a pretty good job of wrapping the exhaust pipe.The pipe on the Midea is the smaller size which is why you can still see the Velcro even though it is wrapped tightly. The instructions would have you cut the insulation to fit the extended length of the pipe. I didn't want to do this, because being a portable unit I wasn't sure where it would end up next. So I just folded it back and used the last of the three supplied straps to hold it there. It took me about five minutes to get it installed.Now onto the good part. This sleeve makes a HUGE difference to the cooling ability of the unit, at least three and maybe as much as five degrees Fahrenheit better. As a comparison, the bare end of the pipe as it goes into the window is almost uncomfortably hot to the touch, but the sleeve right next to it is barely tepid. It really should be mandatory for portable a/c units like this to come with an insulated sleeve, but since they don't this is the next best thing!Do yourself and your wallet a favor and pick these up if you have a unit like this!

Feels like good quality. Huge difference in heat exposure from the vent. And it only took minutes to install. My ac is placed at the foot of my bed(window located by my feet) when I first switched to a floor unit from the window i noticed the extra heat added to the room from the vent. So even though the ac would be on my legs and feet felt the extra heat. The first night with the wrap it was notably cooler. I don’t know if I would have noticed the difference if I was further away but for me it was well worth the extra coust

Loved these insulators. Much better than the bed pad that I had wrapped around it.

This works as advertised. It is easy to install and is quality made. It for the entire length of my floor air conditioner tube. It decreases the heat coming fout in the exhaust tube and back into the remove to make the air conditioner work more efficiently. Not a huge differenc but it certainly helps.

When I first set up my portable AC, all sorts of heat was escaping out of the back. It would take forever to cool my room down, so thankfull I got this which will extremely help cooling cost. The shorter, the better. So you can cut this and double wrap The part that connects to the unit and the part that connects to the window. That's where a lot of the heat was escaping. And so I a sweatshirt over to help trap all the air and make sure it goes out the window. That hot air fire and I'm glad I got this sleeve!
