As the summer heat waves rolled in, I watched my poor pup panting away, trying to find a cool spot on our hardwood floors. That's when I decided to purchase this cooling mat, and let me tell you, it has been a game-changer!The mat was incredibly easy to set up. Just unfold and place it in your pet's favorite spot. It's also lightweight, making it a breeze to move from room to room, or even take along on trips.My dog isn't exactly gentle with her belongings, but this mat has stood up to her excited flops and playful antics without any signs of wear and tear. The material is tough, scratch-resistant, and also super easy to clean – a simple wipe down does the trick.The real test, of course, was whether my dog would actually use it. Well, she hasn't left it since it arrived! She seems so much more relaxed and comfortable, even on the hottest days. The cord was encased in a thin plastic similar to that of a spiral notebook that was spiraled over cord. (1) My 2-year-old dog chewed through the first cord of his life while in his kennel during my 8 hour workday which could have electrocuted him . I have a heated pad that has a metal encasement around the cord for just that reason. (2) What was worse was that now my cat and my dog who were in a metal kennel together could have been electrocuted because there's a live wire plugged into an electrical outlet inside their metal kennel. (3)The Cooling pad they desperatly needed to keep them cool no longer was doing that so they could have overheated in the environment that they were in. (3) My dog could have chewed other sections of the live side of the cord. So my pets were in several life threatening situations! As a consumer I trusted the integrety of the product. Very poor designAbsolutely unacceptable!

The first day our dogs were unsure of the cooling mat, but after a walk on a hot day, they both figured this out really quickly and took turns enjoying it. Our dogs are both 22 pound mix breeds and they have more than enough room to spread out on it. George (black and white dog) normally lays on our cement floors to cool off, but now he goes to the cooling mat when he gets home from a walk. He likes it on the low or medium setting because he seems to also enjoy quiet humming noises. A big dog might like the high setting more. Overall, this was not something I thought I needed, but seeing how much the dogs enjoy it- I am glad we purchased it. Good quality, long durable cord, looks very easy to wipe down and does not seem to attract pet hair. Also, extremely simple to start up- just plug in and press one button- not difficult at all. Overall, a nice purchase for my pets!

We live in a Hot climate. Our dog loves this thing after a long walk or playing outside. I wish it was portable but unfortunately it must be plugged in in order to use. The cord has an additional layer of plastic wrap to protect the cord. The fan has 3 speed setting, which can be nice for if you are leaving it on long term vs just coming in from the heat. So far our pup has not accidentally turned it off by stepping on the button but I’m sure that day will come. It does have a zipper on the side but I’m not entirely sure why because nothing inside is removable. 5 stars of it had the option to be swapped between portable or plugged in.

Returned. This wasn’t a cooling mat but more a fan. Once my dog laid on it, the fan pretty much stopped, so I’m not sure the use of that.

Mt dog kept walking on button or stepping on it and shutting it off! Button to put on should be on a control with the wire...similar to heat pads! He stepped on it so many times and I would half to turn it back ih to the dog on...that it wore out button so pad no longer works at all! Sad as it was not inexpensive.

Even though the cooling mat is small for our XL American Bulldog it’s the perfect size for our cats and dachshund! Even being on the small side for the American Bulldog she enjoyed laying on it and experiencing a good cool down.Living in hot Southern California pets can get overheated easily so this mat has been amazing for those hot summer days. It has a mesh top layer so that air can come through the top and 3 speed settings to suit your pets needs. The material feels like a sturdy canvas with a textured bottom to avoid sliding.
