I've experienced no noticeable negative side effects. If I have one complaint about this particular psyllium, it is that it doesn't stir into a liquid very well. It tends to clump and stick to the sides of the glass quite a bit. I guess that may be a problem with any powder, but it seems pretty prevalent in this one. All in all, though, a good product at a good price!

I have been using this brand of psyllium husk since 2022 and it is excellent. One heaping teaspoon with 12-16 ounces of water in the morning and it does help to keep me regular. I use a 16 ounce plastic container with screw on lid that I usually fill with 12 ounces of water and then put the husk in and the art to getting it just right is to shake it about 28-30 times and then drink it all right away as it will thicken up quickly (pause) the longer you take to finish it. I'm disappointed that Viva Naturals does not respond to messages because this sold out on their website, on Amazon, and on Walmart and the only place I can find it is on eBay and sellers are wanting up to $99 for a 24 ounce bag, that's crazy. Has anyone found where else this can be purchased?
