Fantastic book
If you love the planet of the apes trilogy you have to read this. I'm not a massive reader but this novel kept my attention all the way through. Learning more about Koba really created more character depth.

Brilliant story
This book bridges the gap between Rise and Dawn. It explores the effects of the virus on humanity, and explores Caesar's leadership and relationships with the other apes. It also provides a biography of the infamous Koba and shows how his past dealings with humans have shaped his view of them. I would've given this a 5* rating, if it weren't for the number of errors in the kindle version. However that being said, ir's a really good read, especially Koba's story.

Arrived pretty quick makes for a good read & does somewhat fill in the gap between rise & dawn although seems ti have been a rushed job as theres a lot of typeos in the book but all in all a good book def worth a read if you're a fan of the movies but seems to focus a lot of back story for koba but yeah a thumbs up

A must for all fans of the movies
A really good little book filling in the gaps before, during and mainly after the events of Rise of the Planet of the Apes. I'm a massive fan of the two films, so really loved this tie in.The extra insight you get as to what happened to Koba pre Rise leaves you shocked and sympathising with him even more than before. I can't wait to watch Dawn again.Cleverly written from multiple perspectives, this really was an enjoyable read. My only criticism would be that there are two or three typos, but that doesn't take anything away from it. I wish it was longer, I want more!

Interesting to see Koba’s backstory
I actually read Revelations first but preferred this one, there was a few typos but otherwise I really liked it. Koba’s back story was really good I could read a whole book about that!

Okay
Not what I was expecting, I believed this to be a graphic novel but it's not, decent enough story but it lacked a bit of energy

I suppose I am a bit biased because I am completely in love apes in general
I read this after watching the film but that didn't take anything away from the book. I suppose I am a bit biased because I am completely in love apes in general, think the films are fantastic and have massive respect for sci-fi/fantasy genre.I could read about Caesar and Koba all day long and find it truly mesmerising that somebody can bring the idea of almost human apes to life in such a realistic and mind-blowing way.Five stars from me, but it's either 'your thing' or not.

Page Turner
Fantastic read, a gripping and twisting tale. If you enjoyed the film this is a must. It begins 5 days after the end of Rise of The Planet of the Apes.A real page turner.
