A 5-yr old toddler can learn how to jump this quickly.
My nephew 5 years old he had a good time playing it. His dad had to show him for a minute or two on how to before he took over the toy. The kid is not heavy enough to make the noise from the pad but he had lots of fun jumping around.

Not ideal for kids older than 3 or 4
This is a cute little jumper but it is kind of hard for the kids to learn to use. It doesn't really jump with them and my grandson has fell several times trying to use it. It says for kids ages 3 - 8 but unless they are really small for their age, I wouldn't suggest for kids older than 3 or 4 as it is basically just made out of sponge like material and the heavier the child the less jumping they can do.
