great read
Fascinating book. The stories told by some of these Fathers were so entertaining I could not set the book down. I read the book on a long flight and I believe I went through every emotion from laughing out loud to getting a little choked up at times(not too much though because after all, I am a FATHER/MAN as well).lol. This book was recommended to me and I would highly recommend it to walk fathers, daughters, mothers or anyone who enjoys a good read that's insightful and different than other books out there.

Captivating, engaging and enlightening look into the hearts and minds of 100 dads
Wow. What an enlightening look into the minds (and hearts)of men with daughters. From their fears and their discomfort,to their openness to playing "pretty pretty princess" (crown and all,and their willingness to admit it all...I was engaged with it all.My dad is a great dad, and we have a great relationship, but he was pretty stoicwhen I was growing up. He would play with us; he would teach me stuff and show upto our events. He was supportive, loving and kind; he laughed with us and talked tous and taught us stuff, but was not super verbal about what he was feeling. He stillisn't to this day.So a book like this kind of captivates me - allowing me a look into the range of emotionsthat men actually have. I've always been a little surprised when men show a depth of emotionbecause I wasn't really exposed to that much.

I learned things I would never have guessed about men
This is a book of real people talking about real issues that they face everyday as fathers of daughters.I learned things I would never have guessed about men. I felt recognized by some of their insights about what a daughter needs (a safe place, guidance, encouragement, love). I didn't get much of that from my dad and the interviews in the book threw light on some of the reasons for that. I don't remember my dad being that involved in my life: after reading this, I wonder if he wanted to be more involved but didn't know how.I think this should be required reading of all dads of daughters so they don't end up regretting what they missed and so that their daughters can look back later and say "You were a loving, supportive dad!" And daughters should read it too, so they know what makes their dad tick.

Humbling book that will improve your relationships
This was a very interesting and sweet look into the minds of fathers who have daughters. I never realized why my father did some of the things he did, and I probably criticized him more than I should have sometimes, having the perception that he didn't care, when he was really just scared and uncertain about how to deal with my sisters and me. The revelation I got from reading this book has improved my relationship with my father and I know it will help me be a better wife and mother in the future.

Practical advice & wisdom contained within!
The interviews offer practical advice and wisdom for guys who find themselves being a father to a daughter. From first hand experience, I know it to be both an exciting and terrifying experience becoming the dad to a girl, especially if you have never done it before, as in my case. Wish this book was around then, my daughter is almost 26 now. :-)

Repeats
Gave three stars for the topic and the same time very repetitive.
