My Cool Campervan: An inspirational guide to retro-style campervans

I loved the first book in this series, my cool caravan, and was not disappointed when this beauty arrived. The book is full of a real variety of campervans, some really unusual, but all clearly very well loved by their owners. I love the photos and styling within the book. Its hard to pick a favourite, as much as I love VWs (as a former owner!) I love the retro look of the bedford ca on p109 and you cant help but love 'cuthbert.' Get the book, you'll love it, and maybe you may feel the need to trade in your ford focus for a cosy camper and a nice cup of tea with a view

This book is of excellent quality with superb pictures. Bought as a gift for my brother which gave him good ideas in preparation for updoing his own camper van :)

Lovely book. Bought for Hubby who's a bit of a VW fan. A really nice coffee table book (nice pictures and info) for anyone who has a casual interest and goes to VW shows etc

Had previously read a review of this book in one of the Sunday papers and had been searching for it in bookshops with no luck . Good old AMAZON ! Whilst browsing your book store, here was the book I wanted ! Bought it for a Christmas present for my sister who has her own camper van ; she loves it. She has also commented on the high standard of photography in the book. Delighted with this purchase.

This was a gift from my dad when i bought my english vintage camper van, and its a fantastic book. it does obviouly have quite a few vw -but its great to see unique and lesser known campers and even shows a few quirky one offs. I loved the owners stories of how they acquired the campers. the book only lost one star as i would have liked more photos of each camper but then i'm greedy :)

Bought after reading My Cool Caravan, and really enjoy picking this book up from time to time and dreaming about the day I'll own a campervan! Loads of useful style tips and great for those of us who struggle putting looks together.

This book does not provide practical advice, layout plans, longshot photos of the interiors, or info about materials used or anything about suppliers and fitters. The photos are frustratingly uninformative with close ups of a partial steering wheel or a corner section of a table. You have no idea as to how these van interiors are laid out or how the owners solved storage and general living requirements. No installation advice regarding power, plumbing, or how the overall weight effects cost of fuel and performance. If you are looking for a book to point you in the right direction for creating a campervan of your own this book will not get you started. There is nothing practical or useful within. Same applies to "My Cool Shed" by the same author.

I bought this for my husband and he loves it. There are some great pictures and a written description. He read it from cover to cover in a few hours and was left wanting more.

Finely done book, with a very British slant, and that is refreshing. The care put into the photography was top-notch, including beautiful night photos of a VW T2 camper in the high grasses of a coastal campground. I was pleasantly surprised to see a chapter entitled "American Beauties," which includes the GMC motorhome, the humpback whale of late 1970s campers. I would tend to want to focus on VW campers, and while there are a good number of those featured here, if you want that exclusively, this may not be the book for you. But if you like a surprisingly artistic tour d'horizon of the wide variety of styles of restored campers out there, I highly recommend "My cool campervan."

If you’re after old, retro vans that are unrenovated, then you will probably like this book. I was hoping to see more that were renovated. Not enough interior shots either. I’m hoping I can return this.
