Usable but not the best
Rather soft and messy to separate. Has a thick "foot" which doesn't tear tidily. However germination in them was OK - about 80%. Rather dear.

Don't breath this
It does what I wanted it to. But this material is pretty nasty on the lungs. To combat that, before cutting it soak it in water to stop any airborne particles. Leave it in a cool dry store cupboard when you're not using it. If cutting it while it's dry, wear an N95 PM2.5 mask just to be safe. This is true regardless of seller/manufacturer.

Recommend
These plugs provided a sturdy yet porous base for my seedlings to take root. They're easy to work with and can be effortlessly transplanted into larger growing mediums as my plants mature. One thing I particularly like about these starter plugs is their ability to retain moisture without becoming waterlogged. This feature has helped me maintain optimal growing conditions for my plants, resulting in healthier and more robust growth. While I've had great success using these starter plugs I have docked one star because the package could have included a few more plugs for the price.Overall, I highly recommend these rock wool starter plugs for anyone like myself who is looking to kickstart their hydroponic gardening journey.

Not good for growing chilli seedlings
I used this medium to transfer germinated seeds into, for use in an LED propagator. The seeds really don't like this medium and never developed. Their growth just stopped and they never grew bigger. This is in contrast to chilli seedlings that I have grown in soil.
