Grillbot Electric Grill Brush with Case, Automatic Cleaning Robot, Red

We received the grillbot missing some parts, but Ethan at Grillbot was very helpful in getting the correct parts sent quickly, along with installation instructions. We finally tried to clean a large outdoor kitchen grill Easter weekend. The grillbot was used with the brass brushes and cleaned almost the entire grill to a very smooth finish. One small area was blocked by a small protrusion inside the grill body, but this is only about 2% of the entire grill surface area, so 2 minutes with a standard grill cleaning block took care of it. After charging the unit, we just set the timer, turned it on, and let it clean while we prepared the food for the Easter feast. When we were ready to cook, the grillbot had already finished its job. The grill was clean, and the brushes were still in pretty good shape for the next go-'round. I see no reason why these brushes would not last for a very long time and perhaps several seasons, depending on how often you use the grillbot to clean the grill. If you hate cleaning grills as much as I do, then I cannot recommend this unit highly enough. The storage case is not a requirement, but it keeps the unit cleaner when not in use, as well as keeps the storage area where you might put it a bit cleaner too. Grills are messy items, so having a grill cleaner get messy is not surprising. I can give you no cons to go with the pros above. This unit works. It's easy to use. Customer service truly wants to ensure your satisfaction with their unit. Giving an item five stars in every category is a rarity for me, but when one finds something that works as expected, one has to grade it accordingly.

I bought this for my Mother for Christmas and opened to clean the grill for this summer season. It will not charge, we used several adapters that are required and still no charge. We have left it plugged overnight and hours through the day. So now it says too late for refund. Ugh! Update.....I requested a new battery from the seller and they mailed it to me promptly and my grillbot works perfectly now.

I have no idea how well these things might work, since both the first one and its replacement were DOA. My wife bought me a Grillbot for Christmas. The battery failed to charge after 6 hours (they say it charges in 3 hours). The display flickered but indicated the status bars as one would expect, however nothing happened and it would not function. After discussing with their customer support, I tried everything they suggested, including checking the UBS charger capacity and trying a second one, as well as “resetting the battery” by unplugging it, waiting and plugging it back in. They wanted to send me a new battery, however they provided no justification why they thought it would be the battery and not the circuit board. (Note that I am an engineer by profession. I retired as a senior product support manager for a large international avionics company.) Note also that the battery was loose and not attached by its adhesive pad and one of the two foam paddings pieces in the battery compartment was also loose. I paid for a new unit, not for a refurbished one that I would have had to troubleshoot and attempt to fix myself. So, I returned it for a replacement. On receiving the replacement from Amazon, it failed in exactly the same way and the battery was loose in this one also. In addition, there were already 3 scuff marks on the top of the brand-new unit where the case contacts it. I am extremely disappointed. Apparently, some of these devices reportedly do work, however it appears that manufacturing quality is severely lacking – Grillbot’s fault - or stock is being held too long in storage and degrading the batteries – possibly Amazon’s fault (a warehouse FIFO issue?) - and something their manual gives specific instructions for avoiding for long-term storage. While the design appears visually to be well thought out for the most part, it has failed to live up to basic expectations in practice. I am returning it for a refund and not subjecting myself to the frustration, disappointment and inconvenience of trying a third time. Having initially had great expectations for this product I will continue to clean my grills manually.

Love my Grillbot! Easy to use and doesn't take very long to charge. Left my grill very clean. Price was ok!

So, my wife ordered this for me for Father's Day, and obviously gave it to me a little early since I know what comes on our Amazon order. Opened the box, and everything was exactly as described. They even threw in an extra battery (and it's a good thing!). I read the directions on initial setup, and plugged the unit in to start charging. Well, after 3 hours of charging I didn't hear a "beep" like it described, so I pulled it off the charger, and the battery was still dead. Wouldn't turn on, would do anything. So then I proceeded to take the top off (be careful, the directions on this are not very clear, and it's hard to get off). I replaced the battery, and voila!! The unit powered right up. Yes, they sent me a defective battery (this is why the 4 stars). I plugged it in, and it charged right up. Threw it on the grill that we used last night, and it cleaned her right up! I am impressed with the functionality, but disappointed with the dead battery. All in all, I would buy it again!

I bought it for Christmas for my husband and it didn't work. The customer service was great they worked to trouble shoot and replaced the battery. Works good.

My husband just loves the Grillbot.

So far I really like the product. It does a decent job cleaning my smoker, even a few days after I last cooked on it. My issue to date is with Customer Service at Grillbot. This one is actually my second device, because I lost the paper with the serial number for the first one I purchased, and when I contacted Grillbot with all of the information regarding my purchase - INCLUDING screenshots of my order confirmation from Amazon and a picture of the actual invoice from Amazon, Grillbot told me that they ‘had no record of my purchase from Amazon and could not register the product’. Because I misplaced the Serial Number, I returned the original device and purchased a replacement. I went through the registration process with this new one today, and their website ‘glitched’ when I attempted to submit it. Again, I sent them photos of everything, this time including the information card with the serial number. Guess what? We ‘cannot find any record of your purchase from Amazon, or a bot with that serial number’. Hopefully they can escalate the matter and get it resolved. Oh yeah - their customer service phone system ALSO doesn’t work properly, and drops calls about 10 seconds into the automated message. I give the product a solid 4 stars, but their customer service a -1

Stopped charging after 2 uses

This is an amazing item BUT the warranty (the shafts that hold the brushes broke) is none existent if purchased from Amazon.ca. Although Grillbot did their best to put me in touch with the company who sold it to Amazon BUT they were not helpful at all, stating that I purchased the item 3rd party so no warranty and they don't ship to Canada

Bin sehr begeistert von diesem Roboter , wie ein kleiner Käfer, dem nach Drücken "ON" Leben eingehaucht wird. Schnell Deckel drauf und zwischenzeitlich andere Dinge erledigen. Ganz wichtig: Nur für Griller mit Deckel! Sonst springt der Käfer todesmutig vom Griller :) Die Reinigung ist vollkommen in Ordnung!

schnelle Lieferung, Verpackung i.O., aber er säubert nicht gut, habe einen Gasgrill, der Bot muss sich also nur mit Kohleresten, nicht mit Fett und Asche rumschlagen. Macht mächtigen Krach und mit einer herkömmlichen Bürste bekommt man den Grill in 2-5 Minuten besser sauber. Bleibt ein Partygag bis zu wenig Platz da ist, dann wird er entsorgt.
