Can it fit a person with a big hand large hands

Are the links removable by a jeweler? My wrists are 5" in circumference and the adjustable feature won't reduce it enough to make it fit..

Is the batteries included? I follow the instruction but the watch doesn't work.

So is this meant for small wrists? Looking for a friend with a 5.5 inch wrist. Or will it need adjustment? I see comments in reviews that it is small.
