Important Preventative
I started using Puritan's Pride Lutein a few years ago. My eye doctor says I have very healthy eyes, no signs of macular degeneration and my sight has not changed for 3 years. I am 69 years old. I contribute this partly to taking lutein. After some research, I thought 20 mg is a good balance when adding my multivitamin, which used to have a small percentage of lutein and now has only a trace amount.Though my eye doctor told me, there isn't any evidence that lutein helps, science is always changing and I think it helps. Preservision Areds, which is given to treat macular degeneration, has lutein in it. I am using Puritan's Pride Lutein as a preventative.

We take supplements because we believe they are helpful. Some perhaps more than others. As one gets older there are no doubt deficiencies and for that reason I take some. Some experts say that many are just a waste of money.Puritans Pride Lutein 20 Mg With Zeaxanthin Softgels, 120 Count. Respected Brand and good price. I take one in the AM and PM with meals. I am over 70.
