Leading a highly demanding professional life Jurgen Ziewe compensated by practicing intensive meditation to gain balance and spiritual inspiration. He soon discovered there was more to life when he was catapulted out of his body into a parallel universe. For nearly forty years he kept a secret diary detailing his excursions, which reveal a fascinating alternate reality that awaits us once we leave our mortal bodies. The author discovered a multidimensional universe, which he could step into in full waking consciousness. He returned each time with breath-taking accounts of a world which forms not only the natural extension but the foundation of our physical universe. Jurgen Ziewe gives vivid and compelling accounts of meeting his deceased relatives, of interviewing the ‘dead’, and even of accompanying himself in a previous life. He describes with the zest of a travel journalist some of the mind-bending places he has visited, and recalls the excitement of unearthing the magical powers found there. Review: A remarkably comprehensive insight into OBE & lucid dreaming - This is a really fascinating account of adventures in other dimensions. At first it seems a little less structured than Robert Monroe's classic "Journeys Out Of The Body" - as the action gets going so early on in the book. However, it soon follows a similar pattern, with the various tales not following in chronological order, a style that works well as the overall picture builds. The main difference between Ziewe's story and Monroe's, is that the former soon found he was able to access his states from sleep / via dreaming, rather than only through "out-of-body" detachment. He was also able to reach his various destinations via meditation. The interesting thing here is the grouping together of lucid dreaming with out-of-body excursions. My own feeling is that a "locale 1" OBE (as Monroe called it) - where you visit our current earth in an ethereal body, is indeed the traditional OBE, whereas "locale 2" and above are "astral" travellings, as are fully lucid dreams - different dimensions where space-time isn't the same as here. Ziewe's work is fascinating; like Monroe he is very down-to-earth, so however incredible his adventures (and they ARE incredible!), you can always sense that he really experienced these other worlds, not some deep, hallucinatory dream. Another intriguing aspect is that when you reach later chapters, it becomes very clear that Ziewe has experienced (in as far as we can define it) enlightenment. His descriptions of this are remarkably similar to those of Eckhart Tolle's opening chapter of The Power Of Now, and this raises interesting comparisons. Tolle himself describes lucid dreams as "fascinating but not liberating", whereas Ziewe's experiences end up at the same point as Tolle's but via such dreams. Having experienced numerous strange experiences (but not enlightenment) myself, I suggest that it IS possible to reach enlightenment via OBE and lucid dreaming, but only if one is so fully awake that they encounter the higher dimensions, and with the same wakefulness as when awake in the earthly sense. The only fault in this book is the appalling proof-reading (or lack of!) - but that doesn't diminish a thoroughly inspiring and utterly absorbing read. Review: Best book of its kind I've ever read - I recently finished this fascinating book and only wish that he had others on the same theme to offer. Personally I felt it more interesting than Monroe and books on astral travel and quite believable in an incredible kind of way and I easily journeyed with him on his wondrous adventures in other dimensions which frequently began with a lucid dream although another reviewer thought it all lucid dreaming. I also liked his open attitude to the experience and indications of the influence of the late spiritual speaker Jiddu Krishnamurti. Highly recommended for astral travel or lucid dream enthusiasts.

very interesting
I came to know Jurgen Ziewe on YouTube and so, bought his first book. I am impressed (on YouTube, as well as in print) with his excellent command of English, which is not his first language. His artwork (also on YouTube) is incredible as well. He is obviously a very intelligent and resourceful man. I am about half way through the book. It is clearly written and very interesting. I will probably buy another of his. The actual book itself is bigger than the average paperback book and 230 pages of text. The print is a reasonable size. The overall quality is good. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Buy It Together With The Follow Up, Vistas Of Infinity And Get The Full Journey...
A very interesting work but I actually prefer the just published follow up, Vistas Of Infinity as it expands more about where the deceased go to, the nature of their worlds etc. Still this is very interesting and probably laid the groundwork for me to enjoy the more recent book and I shall delve back into this. Its an incredible account of incredible realities for sure. To be honest I would really recommend buying both together as they so closely connect. Is it all real, all these dimensions?? well I think the answer is definitely maybe and even hard nosed, materialist science is having to begrudgingly alter its position on these ideas.

Very inspirational book.
"Inspiring" is an understatement for this book, it is quite an uplifting and concise description of worlds yet unseen (or unremembered), reading it sparks a driving motivation for any reader to strive for their own experiences which other books do not bring. I enjoyed the fact that the author didn't waste time trying to convince us of the legitimacy of his claims; for those of us already knowledgeable in such matters it can be tedious to read an entire book wherein the author describes in acute detail how they witnessed and verified insignificant events via ESP. This book does not do that, thankfully, and instead provides us with glittering descriptions and very accurate observations of higher-dimensional mechanics. The author offers descriptions and analysis with an absence of heavy bias and sticks to "telling it like it is". The down-to-earth human approach is what makes this book unique among its genre, no cold and limiting scientific catagorization and no religious or New Age mystical fuzz. The author keeps his style relatable and realistic throughout the book, even in the midst of such fantastical anecdotes. There are quite a few printing errors but nothing that will obscure meanings. If you are looking for techniques on how to achieve extra-dimensional travel then this is not the book you need, but by all means read it if you're aspiring to be a traveler as you won't find any better fountain of inspiration and encouragement.

A must read for those who seek a glimpse, a foreign idea of the larger reality
Jurgen Ziewe provides an absolutely genuine eye witness account of his explorations in other states of consciousness. If you're considering this book, you can expect rich descriptions of experiences that are quite frankly unimaginable to the average person but also truly inspiring and very liberating if one is open to consider the possibility. This is not a "How-To", it's a travel journal to the landscape of our inner being that may very well await us after death.

Sublime.
Mind blowing. A truly life changing book. I have read dozens of books on 'new age' subjects. This stands out as one of the very best. Jurgen writes about his decades of OBE experiences. Very descriptive, Jurgen meets deceased loved ones, friends and visits numerous dimensions and even other planets. An incredible book. This book will change your perspective of the world and indeed your life. The world be a much better place if this was essential reading in Schools through out the world.

Not so sure
Whilst it was quite a good read, one is left with the impression that the author, may be just a very good lucid dreamer, but you never know just not to sure that what he says is actual real or just well remembered lucid dreams

A New Classic in OBE's
Anyone seriously interested in the afterlife dimensions and OBE's should read this book. It is a well-furnished, detailed, diarized account of a range of experiences from the lower realms to the higher realms of consciousness. This is not a 'how to do' book but a vivid, eye-opening exploration of those subtle worlds we know so little about, but will one day have to navigate when we give up our physical bodies. The author is sincere and a genuine explorer of out-of-body consciousness; he is not just writing from other peoples' descriptions. There are many disappointing, generalized books on OBE's made up of a dismal mish mash of hearsay and tired cliches about the dimensions beyond the physical. This is not one of them. It should be considered a classic because of the diverse array of experiences, never described before. I have read books by William Buhlman and Robert Munroe and this one ranks up there with the best of them. I couldn't put it down. Fascinating. The author has an outstanding website on 'death' and multidimensional worlds and he liberally shares information and graphics. Well worth a visit.

Excelente libro. Por un creíble autor
Me resulta un autor serio y creíble. De lo mejor que he leído sobre Obe y el más allá. Muy recomendable. Estaría bien que se tradujera al español.

Mind blowing! The best book I’ve read on OBEs & so mind- expanding!
After seeing Jurgen Ziewe on his Buddha at the gas pump (BATGAP) interview, I had to buy this book plus his other two. Let me tell you, if you’re an open minded spiritual person, and especially if you have experimented with lucid dreams you’re going to find this the most enriching, helpful, and enlightening book you’ve read in a long, long time. I visited the Monroe Institute and met Robert Monroe when he was still in his body and his grade as that was I have to say this is even better. When you read the incredible superconscious perception and ecstatically blissful states of the higher astral / heavenly dimensions you’re going to know so much more than you do before this detailed diary and account. I’m finding it to be life-changing like reading og Ramadan Maharshi the first time. Very highly recommended! Also see his book ‘Vistas of Infinity,’ which was written years later… it’s just as good but start with this onetime get the entire story. As Jurgen explains most people with such amazing experiences just keep it to themselves, but he felt obligated to give this to the world and wow am I glad!

Excellent book on the subject of reality and consciousness
I give it five stars not because I am too liberal with giving "review stars," but because I really found this book perfect. Several years ago, for a period of two years I had a dozen and a half lucid dreams (unfortunately this then ceased and I don't know how to have more). In one of them, I simply awakened in another place. I was in a lucid dream, and then I awakened exactly as it happens every morning in the normal, physical world in my bed. Except I was elsewhere, and I asked myself many questions regarding this extraordinary and incomprehensible event. (I even wondered if I just died in my sleep.) Alas, I soon felt an intolerable desire to fall asleep that I could not resist, and then back to normal dream and then normal world. SO, in reading Multi-dimensional man, I learned that this is exactly how the author gets into OBE into other dimensions!! Really glad to now understand what happened to me. (If only I could do it again... alas.) Other than that the author gives very interesting insights on the nature of consciousness and reality (which complement very well whet I did read of quantum physics). At first I was puzzled by his experiences, that seem subjective to say the least. But then, with the final chapter, it made sense to me (for example, in relation to Buddhist and Hindu teachings). Thanks!
