Humans have gazed into the night sky since the dawn of time. Dreaming, wondering, and developing stories around patterns of stars. These star patterns are now associated with some of the most intriguing and well-known creatures from mythology and nature. With the introduction of telescopes, we have learned so much more about stars. They have different sizes, colors, locations, and characteristics. This knowledge has made looking at constellations all the more fun. We developed the Constellations game to bring our amazing sky, with its rich history, mythology, and science to your game-playing experience! In this game, players are stargazers, exploring the night sky and collecting stars to define constellations. They compete to find the right stars to fit the needed pattern -- are B-type stars or F-types required to complete the constellation? Players compete with each other to strategically collect the right stars, reserve patches of the sky for observation, and explore the universe. Once you have your constellation, add it to the map of the night sky being assembled right in front of you. The closer you get to putting together the actual map of the heavens, the more points you score! The game involves drawing Star Cards, which represent the seven types of stars classified by astronomers. Each constellation requires a unique combination of star types to place in the sky. As the game progresses and more constellations fill up the night, players must use their puzzle skills to fit the hexes on the board to score the most points. The player with the most constellation points at the end of the game wins! The game also includes an educational workbook about stellar evolution, star classification information, and the history and mythology of the real constellations.

Fun, interesting, and educational
I tried this game with a friend who owned it before I ordered it myself. I've been working on getting better acquainted with the sky and constellations and this game helps me do that. The various game modes, the option of solo-play, all of the extra science facts on each card made this game really versatile and informative. I'm giving it 4 stars because it's a well designed and well rounded game. The last star is because this is unlikely to me anyone's "Must have" even if it is good and I discovered one error where the skymap cannot be completely reconstructed because the gems between Gemini and Orion don't match. I'm planning on fixing that part myself.

And exciting way to learn about the cosmos through an interactive board game!
This game is truly awesome to play! It teaches, through the interactive approach of playing a game, about the constellations and their relative location! It challenges in just the right way where we had lot of fun figuring things without any frustration. It is visually interesting and the style of the board pieces inventive. It engages each player in a way that they feel apart of the process in a positive fashion. I plan to use it for game night with my undergraduate majors, who I know will really enjoy it. If you are a board-game lover, this is a must have. Playing the game will clearly help build meaning times with friends, family, colleagues, or all the above. Finally, to recap, playing Constellations is an exciting way to learn about the cosmos!

So fun!!!
No complaints, the makers did a great job thinking about the details. This is one of those games that takes strategy but you can focus on other things while you play. When you use the whole deck with 2 people it takes about 45 minutes but you won’t notice because it’s such an interesting and fun game. Things are constantly changing and you can be tied until the very end.

Well thought out game
A great game for all ages. Lots of optional rules to change things up so lots of replay value. The pieces are well made and beautiful. Love the added touch of the glow in the dark stars so you can see the night sky you made after the game. Love that it's all based on real stars and how they work so it's educational and fun at the same time. Also want to give a shout out to the seller Tabletop Direct. We had some problems with delivery and they were prompt and solved the problem with no questions asked.

For those who want to know more about the stars , this game is really enjoyable. It is easy to play and be sure you re gonna get a lot of fun. At the end you can see the star mapping but be sure you get a really dark place for doing it (so you see over the hex the stars brighting)

Fun game
Was a little confused by the instructions at first, but stumble through that first round and you'll have it down. I like all the information it comes with, and the different variations it offers. The pieces are sturdy and visually pleasing. It's not an exciting game but it passes the time I stay entertained and happy to play again.

Fact-filled fun game
Way cool! Lots of great facts, good strategy needed. Must think, but there is enough luck to make it even. Both northern and southern constellations. AND, the cards glow in the dark.
