Good product, but Amazon cheated me.
I have dry mouth. The gel works well for me. I use it in my night guard and it keeps my mouth hydrated all night. However, Amazon messed up the order. I only received one tube instead of the 2 I paid for. Really annoying.

A lasting fix for killer dry-mouth.
I have severe dry-mouth resulting from a medication and have controlled it to some extent using Biotene toothpaste and Xylimelt lozenges, neither of which are entirely successful or long lasting. After a while the lozenges give me trouble with tongue irritation. This goo is wonderful. A blob of it swished around the mouth with extra tucked into the cheek will last all night, which neither of the other products do. The taste is inoffensive, mildly sweet but with a familiar flavor which I haven't yet identified. The only thing not to like is an oily feel on the roof of the mouth directly after application, similar to what's left after eating high butterfat-content ice cream. And it's pricey. But it's worth it.

Tastes bad
This product is very effective, however the taste of it is bad. It would be excellent if they would go with just a slightly sweet, or no flavor. I keep tasting that citrus when I am trying to eat or drink something later, and it isn't pleasant.

Works great for dry mouth and no mint taste

Waste of my money
This product did not work for me. It didn't last 10 minutes. I sleep with CPAP and use the zylimelts discs and they work really well-keeps my mouth moisturized all night long.

OK mouth moisturizing gel
Moisturizing with fresh taste. Asts about 30 minutes. It's kind of gooey, I like the spray better.

Wow, wonderful for dry mouth post radiation.
After having 32 sessions of radiation for head and neck cancer, my mouth is terribly dry. My husbands dentist sent a sample home with him for me to try as there are not a lot of options for dry mouth. The first night using XyliGel it helped so much. When I woke up the next morning, my mouth was still coated with the gel and was not dry. I searched the internet for the gel and found a twin pack with a new citrus flavor. I thank you so much for this product as nothing was giving me the belief that XyliGel does. Should be marketed for head and next radiation patient.

a lot of grit, orange flavor (irritating if dry mouth sore), can't recommend
OraCoat Xyligel dry mouth gelIf only companies would realize that people who suffer from dry mouth also tend to have easily irritated tissues including their tongues. If a person with dry mouth also uses C-Pap for sleep apnea their dry mouth is even worse than normal. Therefore, it is best to have NO flavor at all in a dry mouth gel, spray etc.If there is any flavor it needs to be VERY mild and preferably not citrus (even though this states there's no citric acid, it does seem to contain something irritating). The amount of grit in this is rediculous in my opinion. It's so bad it even irritates my bladder. Can't return it.Decided to try this one after using the one that starts with B for many years and was happy with it until they changed the formula and now it's useless for myself anyway (the B= It doesn't work. It's thin and doesn't last but a few minutes) but this is a definate no.Then I tried this same brands (Xylitol) type that comes in a little tablet with a sticky side that adheres to your teeth and they make the tissues of my gums and the inside of my cheeks irritated because the tablet it too hard. It's dry xylitol or sorbitol and it's so hard (compact) it rubs and irritates the tissue. Also noticed that the corners of my mouth got irritated and would cause my mouth to be slightly drooling in the corners!! Very weird. Then I tried the one that starts with S (gel) and it was such a gross consistency and taste I wanted to send it back as well. Finally, I just tried the one that starts with A and ends with Y and It's Victory at last!! It has very little taste and it's a pleasant taste, not gross. It's thick enough to last yet not like globs. It surprised me that it lasts for 1-1/2 hours at least, maybe more because I use it while sleeping. Finally got a good nights sleep and only had to use it 2-3 times. The one starts with B had to Use about every 20 mins. or so since they changed the formula.I use the dry mouth gel at night and use a C-pap machine. Not to mention my mouth opens. So I personally don't recommend this brand (OraCoat) based on all the above issues.I can definately recommend the last one I tried (of course) that starts with an A and ends with a Y. Thank God, something that tastes good, actually works really well, doesn't irritate the mouth, only takes a small amount and lasts a long time. Hope this helps someone because it is a difficult problem to find a solution for, especially at night.
