So this is confirmed as an OEM quality part. It works okay, they do tend to wear out faster than I'd like, but having this available keeps my old tool going, so I'm going to go with 4/5 stars.

Perfect fit for my DeWalt orbital sander. Didn't need the transition just the dust bag, the dust bag fit the original transition piece on my sander perfectly so I discarded that and my old ripped bag. Looks and traps dust like new.

I own a very old DW421 sander, probably purchased in the early 1990's. It came with a hard porous plastic dust collector that, after a number of years began to slide off while I was sanding. The problem worsened and I began to shim up the connection sleeve. Eventually the dust collector cracked and was unusable. I connected the shop vac hose to it but this was not always convenient. This replacement connects to the primary connection, and doesn't have to be removed to empty the dust. The dust bag has a twist lock connection that will not blow off during use. These sanders will last forever, only needing a few replacement parts from tome to time.

It's as straight forward as it gets. OEM replacement. Fits. Works. Done.
