Pocket Art: Portrait Drawing: The Quick Guide to Mastering Technique and Style

The book came in a bad condition for a new book. Bent edges, some slight black smudges on the cover and it doesn’t look new at all judging by its cover, BUT…the content is very good, “moreover, it’s small and lightweight! A very gorgeous shortcut to learn the basics of portrait drawing.

Bought this for my 11 year old daughter after following the amazing art from @miss_led1 on instagram. The book has helped her take her portrait drawing to the next level and we are so happy this is helping her achieve her potential purpose! Cheers, great work and thank you!

Great reference book for when you just can't figure out why your faces aren't looking right. Good purchase for me.

I have two daughters that love art, however, portraits are not easy for them. This book does great job at helping you to better understand what you have to do to be able to better capture the likeness of the people that you wish to draw. The book provides a reader with some amazing tips that will help you start to draw some great new portraits. I know I went back to some of the lessons that I had done in the past and tried them again after going through the book and I noticed that I continued to learn and I also noticed that I got better too!

An invaluable resource for artists who want to include portraits in their skill set. Easy-to-follow, step-by-step examples show the basics of form, proportion, alignment of the face, before moving on to specifics about each detail of the face (eyes, ears, nose, etc.) and how to capture emotions.I would definitely want this handy reference in my library. Pocket Art: Portrait Drawing is a nice book to reference when working on Faces. I also found that this was quick moving and the change from one to the next was VERY quick and not all that basic. So it depends on your talent and where you are in your drawing skills as to if this will be a good fit for you. I know for me, if I’m working on a certain part, say an ear, then this resource can be helpful for me to look at.I received a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This book was an excellent drawing book specifically for those concentrating on drawing portraits. There are a lot of drawing exercises focusing on the details of portraits. The section on how to draw hair was very helpful. This book covers all the important portrait drawing topics, hair type, expressions, skin tone, placement of features and more.I received this galley from NetGalley.

A small book, but a great book, wish it had more examples. It walks you through nicely with what is included.Like that it has examples from various ethnicities.

Seguo l’autrice del libro da anni e non appena uscito il libro non ci ho pensato due volte a comprarlo e non me ne sono pentita minimamente. Aiuta nel dettaglio non solo chi vuole iniziare a disegnare, ma anche chi vuole migliorarsi. Hugely recommended! This is an absolutely brilliant guide to creating beautiful portraits in a surprisingly wide range of styles. It's full of tips and explanations that I found really easy to put into practice, and somehow Miss Led has managed to create a solid introduction to portrait drawing techniques while also explaining how professionals like her make unique fine art pieces and commercial illustrations for big brands.If you have any interest in improving your skills at drawing portraits for yourself, for work or in your creative practice, you'll definitely get as much out of this book as I did.

鉛筆の持ち方から、マーキングの方法　頭蓋骨の正面・側面筋肉図、顔の捉え方から　細かい作業に移って行くプロセス各顔のパーツから、完成された作品まで　多く掲載されている。イラスト的と思ったが、ベースに、顔の骨格・筋肉等の制作過程があり参考になった。
