SeaLife Ultra Smartphone Housing – Excellent Underwater Option I recently bought the SeaLife Ultra smartphone underwater housing. I had been considering the GoPro Hero 13, but chose this instead because my iPhone 17 offers better low‑light performance. After using it on a dive trip to Oahu, I’m very happy with the decision. The housing feels solid and well‑built, and the companion app works smoothly. It’s a little unnerving putting a brand‑new iPhone underwater, but the system performed flawlessly. It fits my iPhone 17 and my wife’s 17 Pro (her case had to come off to fit). Pros • Very easy to use once set up • Your underwater camera improves every time you upgrade your phone • All photos and videos are already on your phone for quick editing and sharing Cons • There’s a bit of a setup procedure before each dive • It’s smart to run a leak check on shore • The leak test takes about 3 minutes • Once sealed, the phone can’t make calls or send messages until removed • Between multiple dives, you’ll need to remove and reinsert the phone if you want to use it Overall None of the drawbacks were dealbreakers for me. The housing worked great, delivered excellent image quality, and gave me confidence underwater. A strong choice for anyone who prefers using their smartphone as their dive camera.

This has been the best under water camera case I have ever purchased. Worked perfectly with our Samsung S24 Ultra phone; which is the larger sized phones. Not once did we have any experiences and the included red filter made the pictures from under the water amazing in color. Even one of our tour guides on the boat, raved about his SportDiver case. It was great to hear as it was our first use of the case before our snorkel at Molokini Crater Snorkeling Tour. I would recommend though to purchase extra box of "Moisture Muncher Capsules" which pulls any existing moisture in the case from the phone and case. We had a 50% blue change of the beads after 6 uses in a week. Another consumable I would suggest is to get would be to have an extra "tube of SeaLife Silicone Lube for SportDiver O-rings".

Easy to operate specially for someone who is not high-tech. No downloading SD cards and uploading to the cloud it does it all automatically to your phone was able to show pictures right away.

Has worked great warm and cold water Scuba diving. It took a few dives to get it lined up correctly, wide angle would capture part of the housing. After a little trial and error it now works in normal and wide angle. iPhone 13 camera works well in low light and with a video light well.

The physical housing is great, never leaks, but one flaw - It causes flare if shooting horizontally or tilted slightly upwards and shooting towards the sun while using the red filter. The filter needs to be larger or closer to the phone camera lens to prevent this. As for the Sealife Ultra App, two major items overlooked and they will affect almost every video of you are not careful. First, the auto white balance shifts drastically from having a well balanced image to a green or yellow cast and vice versa depending on the scene. The second issue is that it defaults to HD (or what I call low resolution) instead of 4k. I made the mistake of using the default setting before I realized I was filming in low resolution. Who would go to the trouble of using this housing to shoot video at anything less than 4k? I returned the item but I'll buy this product again if the app issues are fixed in a new version.

Bought this housing for a trip with several dives and snorkel trips. Took amazing photos which were on my phone without the need to manipulate or transfer the images. Highly recommended. One tip. For best results regrease the O ring prior to each dive.

I am SO happy I bought this for my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G phone. It has upped my photography game a lot. It allows me to zoom in and out, switch from camera to video, change some settings and view the photos and videos I took. I have had zero issues with any moisture getting into the housing but, I also have followed their instructions in how to use it. There are only two things that I don't like but I'm not sure that they can be fixed. 1. Switching from the four options on the left side (camera, video, settings, review) is difficult to see which one you are on while you are under water. Instead of that specific item lighting up as white (since the rest are then only slightly gray), perhaps they can all be red or blue for the ones you are not using and white for the mode you are in? If not, maybe the one you are in is significantly brighter white while the others are very dull. 2. When using the video and I zoom in and out, there is a loud clicking noise for each time I press the zoom in/out buttons. That sound ends up on my video. I found that to be very annoying. I don't know if this is fixable or not since the mechanism of the housing might not be something that can be improved to make the buttons silent. Otherwise, I'm glad I bought this and can't wait to take more pics now that I live on a Caribbean island with dozens of beautiful snorkeling spots. Here are a couple pics I took the other day. Really good quality case, everything needed to take underwater photos whilst diving. I’m using it with my old iPhone 13 as my new 17 pro gets its lidar blanked off and Ben though it fits perfectly. App is super easy to load and operate. Looking forward to trying it out for real. Comes with an everything you need to get started including spare seals and grease. I’ve ordered extra desiccant packs as you only get one, but the AAA batteries were included

Je l’ai utilisé 1 fois, facile d’utilisation, rassurant avec le test d’étanchéité. Ok pour les manipulations avec gants étanches. Je n’ai pas rencontré de problèmes particuliers. A conseiller.
