A hockey romance performed by a full cast including Samantha Brentmoor, Teddy Hamilton, Jason Clarke and Connor Crais! I swear I only asked one hot hockey-playing friend to give me romance lessons for the week, but three hockey stars volunteered The post breakup plan was simple escape from my toxic ex to a vacation rental and stay far away from men. But thanks to a booking snafu Im accidentally sharing it with three hot hockey players. Ones flirty, ones broody, ones a cheeky Brit, and theyre all the most attentive men Ive ever met. After a couple of glasses of champagne, Im telling them about the contest my ex is running on his dating advice website. The topic? What makes a great boyfriend, and I want to submit a column. All three offer to show me every single thing I've been missing in and out of bed. We make a deal for one week only. Its only for revenge, of course. I work for the other hockey team in the city so itd be a big mistake to truly get involved with a rival, let alone three. Even though I melt under their touch. They show me what it means to be adored, cherished and romanced. But as the week ticks on, what started as revenge fast turns into me giving my heart to three men I can't have. Looks like I'm well and truly pucked. This is Briar's romance with Hollis, Rhys, and Gavin. Tropes: hockey romance, rivals to lovers, friends to lovers, forced proximity, one week only, why choose, no swords cross, romance lessons Review: all the heart and all the spice equally - When Blair's ex treats her so horribly, she's about done with men, until 3 very delicious, very different guys step up and show her how REAL men treat women, and each other. I absolutely adored this quad, individually and as a solid group. Blair is sweet, sassy and so relatable. Hollis, Gavin and Rhys are so different from each other, but complement each other and Blair in the best of ways, bringing their own personalities and quirks to the relationship with sizzling results. Anytime I read a story about more than a couple, I always talk about how for it to be successful in my eyes, the balance between the heat and the heart has to be there, and it is definitely here in Well and Truly Pucked. The guys are so crazy about their girl, but not just physically, emotionally and in their hearts, too. And I never, ever felt as if there was jealousy or one-sided individual relationships that outweighed the others here. I have been loving the author's hockey romances, and wow is this one yet another exceptional story to add to her long list of excellent stories that have all the heart and all the spice equally. Review: Great boyfriend times three - Well and Truly Pucked is the fourth book in the My Hockey Romance series from Lauren Blakely. While all the books in the series feature polyamorous relationships between three main characters (M/F/M), this new one is the first to have four main characters (M/F/M/M). I'll be honest: I'm not a huge fan of the why choose trope, also known as reverse harem, i.e. one female main character, multiple male main characters. It takes a great deal to convince me that what the FMC feels for one MMC is one the same footing or equal in intensity as for any other MMCs. But Blakely's stories in this series have always turned out to be entertaining, with a high amount of heat and heart, some humor, and maybe even some angst. Basically, resistance tends to be futile regardless of trope choice. It all starts with Briar Delaney and her dog, Donut, getting kicked out of the home she shared with her ex-boyfriend and then to be informed that her cat, Frances Furbottom, would stay because his new girlfriend shared a "bond" with the cat. Rhys Corbin, Hollis Bouchard, and Gavin Worthy soon become an increasingly constant presence in her new life. The three hockey players are already friends, but it was great to see them take her into their protective circle and forge a true friendship with Briar. They may have wanted to show her what it was like to have a great boyfriend, but she got exactly that times three. My one quibble would be that I wanted more. No, not more boyfriends for Briar, but more about the three she had. Other than that, Well and Truly Pucked was a wonderful addition to the My Hockey Romance series, and it easily earns itself four stars.

A Steamy, Quick Hockey Romance
I was excited Briar for her own story. I was a little (plesantly) pleased it also includes Gavin, Rhys, and Hollis. However, I do think this was my least favorite in the series. It needed more tension plot wise and I felt like we didn't get to see all the guys develop as much character wise - and I really wanted to get to know them more (especially Gavin). Still a fun read with lots of steam.

I LOVED It! 😍
Okay, so this is my first Lauren Blakely book & I LOVE it!! I genuinely didn’t think I would like it as much as I did. I read/listen to this one SO fast!! I’m even amazed at MYSELF!! 😅 I should say that this is not my 1st “Why Choose” romance; I’ve read/listen to one other one before this & loved it, too, so maybe I shouldn’t have been THAT surprised! 🥹 That one was a little different: it was only with 3 people, a MFM one, & the 2 guys were already in a relationship when they “added” the woman in. In this one, the 3 guys didn’t seem to be in a “relationship” at all when this started. They didn’t seem to be bi, either, & they never had s3x with ONLY each other, which I thought was interesting . . . But still loved it, though, in the end . . . And, yes, I know, I started in the middle of the series, but in my defense, this book just popped up as a recommendation on Facebook one day, and now, I’ll definitely read/listen to more of this author! 🫶🏻 I also LOVED the full-cast narration on the audiobook! It just made listening a whole lot better! (Side note: I had NO idea Jason Clarke could do a British accent; this was my first time hearing him do an accent! 😍) And I also LOVED the “Bloopers” at the end of the audiobook; those were hilarious to listen to!! 😂 Now, I wish ALL audiobooks had that!! It would be SO fun!! 🤩 In all in, would TOTALLY recommend if you like “Why Choose” romance & will be reading/listening to more of Lauren Blakely VERY soon!! 👍🏻👏🏻

I was intrigued by briar i didnt get seem that much of her obviously but she seemed like an awesome girl and one of the good besties of the group. Hollis is the animal whisperer honestly just has the good vibe energy. Gavin seems like the serious type with fun side as well but afraid he won't get certain things and rhys the handsome British one he had crush on briar for awhile he knew right away he wanted her everything about her madd him so happy. Briar had horrible ex who tried steal her cat so his new girlfriend could have her , absolutely not . Forget him but dont touch my cat. And her dog donut is so adorable. The guys treated her fur babies so well I was in love

Sweet, Full of Spice and Fun!
First off I have to admit I read this book out of order of the series, but that didn’t seem to be a problem at all. When yoga instructor Briar is unceremoniously dumped by her cheating boyfriend and thrown out she has no choice but to pick herself up and regroup. Luckily for her she bumps into 3 hockey players, Hollis, Rhys and Gavin who quickly swoop in with the assist. Already booked to do some yoga demonstrations at a festival Briar decides to go early and get some time to figure things out. She quickly discovers there been an error and her rental is double booked with the same 3 white in shining armor Hockey guys. Oh darn what ever should she do. That’s right we’ve got a bit of forced proximity in this why choose romance. These guys are each swoon worthy and hot as can be. They decide to show her how a really good boyfriend should treat her and she soon discovers more can really be better after all. I really enjoyed this book. Each character is so well written you fall in love with Hollis, Rhys and Gavin right away. Briar is also a strong heroine. Yeah she’s having a bad moment in time, but she’s moving forward and discovering so much about herself and what she needs to be happy. Especially important is discovering what she deserves and that she is absolutely worthy of all the love and respect. Now the spice in this book is molten lava. Do yourself a favor and also listen to the audiobook. Don’t hesitate, just do it. Absolutely brilliant work from the entire cast. Bravo!!

Steamy but...
Very hot steamy scenes. I can see why this got a high spice rating. However the whole fall in love in a week is frustrating. I know we only had 400 pages and I think the guys had interest in Briar, it's just too quick. Wheres the build up? Why is it a week then forever? I just want more of a believable story line.

Fun fast-paced read
I started this book at 9am and finished it at 2pm. If that’s not a sign of a great book, I don’t know what is. This is the 4th book in Lauren’s My Hockey Romance series. Like the others in the series it is a why choose romance. Briar finds love and acceptance with not one, not two, but three professional hockey players. This was a super fun and fast-paced read. Watching Briar, Hollis, Rhys, and Gavin give into their feelings was both humorous and heartwarming. Each of them had personal issues they needed to navigate, but did so by not only doing the hard work themselves, but learning that it’s also okay to rely on other people who care about you and only want what’s best for you. They all learn that listening is just as important as doing. Lauren does not disappoint with the witty banter amongst her well-written and well-developed characters. Every time I thought about putting this book down to take a reading break, I just kept turning the page instead. I’m sad to see this series come to an end, but she’s set us up perfectly for a new series in the hockey romance era. I can’t wait to read Wesley’s story next.

Completed!
This book was the perfect ending to this series! I'm so happy these guys and Briar were the perfect match! Loved the sweet taste of revenge Briar got on her ex. I would most definitely recommend this series to anyone and everyone.

Cheesy but fun
This was the last one of this series and I enjoyed it about as much as the others. They were all a bit cheesy and predictable but I still found the characters amusing. While predictable, it was still something of a comfort read. If you want a 'why choose' with minimal drama, this is a good pick. Happy reading!

Four sides to the story!
Brita is trying to break into her ex boyfriends apartment to retrieve her cat when some friends pass and help her out. This is the start of something new for all of them. When they're accidentally rented the same cottage the attraction that floats through all of them heats up. Is this a one time thing or will they make their relationship work? This was a good read, giving excellent advice on how to be a good girlfriend or boyfriend. I loved the characters and their different personalities and how they interacted with each other.

Loved it
This was such a wonderful, warm, romantic read. Not sure why I struggled to get into at the start - could’ve just been a me thing - but I warmed up to the story and the characters once Gavin started getting involved. The FMC really grew throughout the story and it was great to read the insights that came from her growth. The MMCs developed too, however we weren’t privy to most of their internal monologues. Romance? ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Spice? 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
