Having seen multiple influencer videos of this type of socket security plate for both Intel and the new AMD AM5 socket, I had to take the opportunity to try one.Based on the testing performed by several tech channels that really have the equipment to test, this type of upgrade from the stock mechanical lock bracket is good for 2 or even 3 degrees of cooling on your CPU.It is solidly constructed of aluminum and what appears to be powder coated black. The whole package is well executed with clean machining and a smooth finish even though it appears textured to the eye. The kit includes necessary screws and wrench for installation, as well as instructions, and a tube of thermal paste good for one to three chips, depending on you and application technique. The solid mount of the frame gives consistency to mount tension on the CPU and improves surface flatness for interface with the cooling solution. There are more expensive versions of this, but for such a clean and simple design, why pay more? Cost to value is strong here.
