I bought this monitor as an accessory to my work setup since it's the perfect size to keep on the side. Do note that it's a 4K resolution with 60hz refresh rate monitor so I do use it strictly for work. I actually went on a recent trip and was able to bring just this monitor and my laptop and was able to work flawlessly as well, and it's extra convenient given the magnetic case that it comes with to get it standing on its own. The text clarity, resolution, and color makes it optimal for work personally since I can fit a lot and have it be legible (not blurry). The refresh rate and resolution makes it ok for console gaming and I've also plugged it into my S24 Ultra and it worked with DeX perfectly as well. Overall, it's a great monitor at a great price that fits exactly what I wanted it for.

I had a 1080p portable monitor before this one, and the jump to 4K is way more noticeable than I expected. The image is super sharp, colors look great, and everything just feels more polished. Text is easier to read, videos look better, it’s just a big step up overall. It comes with all the cables you need (2 USB-C and an HDMI), so you can choose between USB-C or HDMI. I’ve tried it out with iPhone and laptop and both worked flawlessly. The speakers sound good for something this thin and portable, much better than I expected. The brightness is great and the screen itself feels well built. I really like that the case doubles as a stand, makes it super convenient and it is easy to pack up and move around. It fits nicely in my backpack along with my laptop for working on the go. If you’re still using 1080p and thinking about upgrading or you're new to the portable monitor world then this is totally worth it. Really happy with it so far!

I recently got into the portable monitor game and this is my newest addition. I got this because of the brightness and glossy, anti-glare screen. It’s too cold outside for this now, but I love working outdoors at coffee shops or in parks and this is going to be the perfect combo of size, resolution, brightness, and portability. It is so conveniently light to move around my house, from working in the home office, or gaming on the couch, or connecting to my laptop to work in bed, and taking it to work to use as a third monitor. I have a small tray I set this on while I’m in bed and I can use the monitor to stream, or play games. The build quality seems great so far. I like the magnetic cover for it that provides minor protection and a slim profile to slide into my backpack or messenger bag alongside my laptop when I take it to my work office. It came with a power block, 2 high-speed USB-C cables, and a hdmi to mini-hdmi cable. It gets plenty bright without having to use an extra cable to power it, but it looks so good plugged in. I use a high wattage UGREEN power bank to power it on-the-go and the monitor doesn’t drain the battery quickly at ALL. I can use it for a full day on one charge. Again, you can easily use this with one single USB-C cable. There are menus for picture, offset, temperature, source/aspect ratio, advanced settings like UltraHDR/eye protection/3D sound/FreeSync, Color Adjustments, and a display of your current performance. I’ve also been able to mirror my phone screen on it over USB-C, if that’s something you want. Because of how light and portable the monitor is, I’m finally starting to use a monitor vertically and it’s so nice reading things on this with how bright it is and the 4K resolution. I don’t understand how it’s so cheap, but I’ll take it!

This review is my user experience regarding to Newsoul Portable 4K 16" Monitor (Model #: M1620). It is as described with high brightness, excellent contrast, immersive viewing experience, and lightweight, as well as plug-and-play. But I don't believe that it is an [Aluminum Alloy Shell Portable Monitor] as described. The monitor body shell looks like, feels like, and sounds like a plastic shell. It connects and works with my 2024 14" MacBook Pro M4 Pro, but it doesn't connect with my iPhone 14. The small Power On/Off Button, and the small Pulley Button for setting are not intuitive to use. You have to read the instruction manual first to understand how the buttons function, such as what a long press or a short press will do. I note that I can use just a single USB-C cable connecting the monitor to my MacBook Pro and to make the monitor working. However, if you want great user experience, such as sufficient speaker volume, and brighter screen, you do need the 30W Power Adapter and the other USB-C cable for additional power. The PU magnetic case works ok both as a protecting case and as a supporting stand. But the case as a stand, will take quite a desk surface space. I'm glad that I'm using a desk top mini tripod stand instead to support this lightweight monitor. You can set the monitor to different aspect ratios. Aspect Ratio 16:10 is what I want to match with the aspect ratio of my MacBook Pro.

I bought this monitor mainly to use it with Samsung Dex and for mirroring my laptop. Haven't had any connection problems. The very thin bezels and lightweight design make it easy to carry around. The 4K display is sharp and the colors look good. One thing that's really great about this monitor is how bright it gets. I usually keep it around 30-40% for indoor use. It's perfect for watching videos and reading text since everything looks crisp. The speakers are pretty weak but that's expected for something this thin. I just use headphones anyway so it's not a big deal to me. Would've been nice if they included a battery so you could use it without being tethered to a power source. If this thing also had touchscreen OLED 120hz display, it'd be the perfect portable monitor. Would like to see that on future Newsoul monitors. Customer support has also been really quick to respond with issues I had with the monitor. For the price point it's a solid choice compared to other portable monitors out there. Would recommend it.

Ya había comprado uno de esos monitores portátiles porque trabajo híbrido y, cuando estoy en casa me gusta tener las facilidades que tengo en la oficina. Me salió genial, pero un sobrino descubrió que podía conectar la Switch a ello y... Bueno... Ganó un regalo de Navidad. Así que resolví comprar un otro con mejor resolución para mi y estoy súper contento porque no se nota ninguna diferencia con la pantalla de mi Mac. La calidad es impresionante. Tiene 2 salidas usbc, así que conecto mi headset directamente al monitor - además que el proprio equipo tiene falantes. Me gustó tanto que lo tengo llevado a la oficina también. La pantalla de mi oficina no es 4k y prefiero la mía. Viene en la caja un cargador y - lo mejor - una fonda que deja llevarla adonde quiera utilizarla sin ningún problema. Es poca cosa más larga la pantalla que un MacBook Pro, así que cabe en la misma mochila. Recomendado.

I the display has bold details and looks fantastic, weather effects have greater appeal due to the oled panel. This stops blurr and gives better fluidity to what is on screen some shows like fight ones or cars will have much greater detail. I was playing on it and when looking at Frozen wilds dlc after being stuck in machine mayhem the details on screen were breath taking my shoulders felt more relaxed even and deeper breaths. So calm I did also find the base game appealing but, the small dlc extras help make it so cool. 285 pounds I got it for now 350 there are no displays above 16 inches which have oled panel and are at this price. Oled are for those people who want to really invest in technology. The sound quality is also fantastic and betters all phones whit plugs i had. This was output from the monitor.

Non è la prima volta che acquisto un monitor portatile, ma questo modello Newsoul mi ha davvero lasciato senza parole. Prima di tutto la risoluzione, 3840x2400 riescono a soddisfare anche i più esigenti in fatto di immagine. Poi il menu OSD, configurabile da una comoda ghiera e con accesso a un numero impressionante di impostazioni, fra cui quella per la lingua per chi non si trova a suo agio con l'inglese. Anche l'interfacciamento con altri dispositivi è perfetto, l'ho testato con un Chromebook (nella foto) e con un mini PC, e quest'ultimo è riuscito persino ad alimentare il monitor attraverso la porta USB. Il monitor viene riconosciuto senza alcun problema dal sistema, infatti sia con Chrome OS sia con Windows 11 l'accesso alle numerose e comode impostazioni di configurazione è stato immediato e facile, permettendomi di scegliere tanto la risoluzione quanto la rotazione (è comodo anche in verticale), e ovviamente tutti gli altri parametri come il fattore di ingrandimento di testo e icone, l'HDR e così via. Insomma, devo dire che sono davvero soddisfatto, un monitor così facile da trasportare e collegare ma nello stesso così potente non mi era mai capitato.
