Some reviews have stated that the waist strap loosens or the leg cords loosens during your activity. SOLUTION ONE: Insert the loose end into the buckle again to lock the strap in place. (Yes, this may initially take patience since the loose end is folded over and sewed to prevent fraying.). Tuck the extra length between your waist and the flotation belt to keep it out of your way when in the water. SOLUTION TWO: Place the leg cords on and adjust the clips to see where the cords fit snugly around your thighs. Make a knot above each clip. Take the swim belt off. Adjust and tighten the knots to keep them in place. When you are ready to wear swim belt again, HOLD IT BEHIND YOU and step into each ring. Pull the swim belt up to your waist and fasten the waist strap. Perfect fit! The swim belt will not ride up to your chest when in use. The leg cords will not loosen when you are active in the water. NOTE: If the waist strap or leg cords do not fit perfectly. Take the swim belt off, readjust each and repeat this process until you get the perfect fit and can enjoy each swim without any further adjustments unless your body changes. BUOYANCY: The members of my deep water running/jogging group use various brands of belts. During these exercises and when standing erect, your shoulders are below water as they should be. This swim belt stays in place and keeps your head well above water. The belt keeps you buoyant when floating, swimming or running. There are no buoyancy issues with this product when used as the manufacturers intended. This is a five star product.

I needed a water belt for water jogging, but the couple that I tried tended to gravitate upward no matter how much I tightened the belt. This belt you slip your legs through and it keeps the belt from riding up. It is of decent quality, although one of the grommets came loose. It fits well and does its job. It dries fairly quickly and is easy enough to use. I would repurchase.

Floats just the right amount. This swim belt is great for water therapy, my father-in-law is recently getting over cancer and needs some physical therapy. This belt helps him just the right amount to walk in the water and rebuild some strength in his legs. The large buckle is easy to close and the belt itself is easily adjustable. The neoprene outer shell is soft and comfortable against bare skin and doesn't rub or chage. Belt seems pretty durable. I like that the adjustable leg straps have a zip pocket to hold the excess string after tightening. The large front pocket seems convenient but isn't waterproof, maybe a good place for a fishing license if you use this for wade fishing, just an idea. Over all great product for the price.

Got this for my husband so he can swim in the pool. He tried several swim belts and they all ride up while swimming making them dangerous because they flip him over when that happens. This one has adjustable leg straps attached to the belt that are so they keep the belt anchored. It comes up a little and he has to adjust it but at least the leg straps prevent the belt from becoming useless and they are comfortable he says. It's amazing that all float belts don't have built in adjustable leg straps of some kind. Surely they know these belts are useless without them. Good idea here. Not 5 stars because the belt does need adjusting occasionally.

This swim belt helps me walk in water and restore leg strength. The leg straps are well designed and keep the belt centred when treading water. It is comfortable to wear and the buckles do not rust. I highly recommend it！

UPDATE: With only six weeks of use (average twice a week), the leg straps are ripping the fabric around the holes and the rings are dislodged and rusted. Disappointed and will probably have to replace soon. I was very skeptical of this flotation device. I read so many reviews about the belt riding up and chose this for the leg straps. I had no problem adjusting the leg straps or the belt itself. I was comfortably floating upright at almost shoulder height. I bought a swimmer's swimsuit so that my tankinis wouldn't get tangled up in the belt and straps. I had a great workout in the deep end of the pool. Nicely done.

My wife tried it today and it worked well!! She loves it! Worth the money and easily floated her and keeps you afloat should an emergency occur!

Happy with this product! Very good quality, from the straps to the handles and clasps. Very easy to put on, and the additional straps around the legs work well to keep it in place. Recommend this for water therapy or swim classes for seniors or children.

Works great for my Aquafit. I use it 3 times a week for 80 minutes each time. Very durable and still looks new after approximately 3 months. I use in the deep end of pool while doing cardio and strength training. I definitely recommend this belt.

This belt is better than the foam ones. The leg straps could be better, but they work to hold the belt in place.

The product description states that the metal rings should not rust or tear out of the fabric, but I recently purchased and both have happened after the first use, otherwise the product worked as intended.
