anatomicalsDry Relief, High Noon for The Prune 20 g
B**1
Ineffective, greasy and the smell?!
I have the driest, scaliest knees you've ever seen so purchased this a while back in the hopes of improving them. Let's just say I will never, ever make that mistake again. The tin is bright and fun and the design is great for use on the go and to prevent any mess or spills when in the bottom of your handbag. For me, this is where all of the good stuff ends. The first thing that hits you is the smell: it's cheap, old and slighty dirty and after a lot of sniffing, me and a friend have decided it smells an awful lot like old wax crayons. The formula is over solid and makes picking this up on your finger incredibly difficult. Digging out a little portion to apply to my knees and elbows reveals a product that the skin struggles to absorb and that leaves a greasy, unpleasant feeling.... Oh, and then there is the smell that lingers around you after use... The wax crayon smell. I also found small semi-solid jelly/plastic pieces. I don't know what they were, why they were there or if they were supposed to be there but the product was in date and authentic. These small pieces do not break down or absorb into the skin.Overall I haven't purchased anything I've been less disappointed with for quite some time. I've used various other Anatomicals products in the past and have always been quite happy with them. Obviously some are better than others and there will always be an option you're not keen on but this dry relief balm was something else altogether.I have given the product just one star from a possible 5. I feel as though gimmicky marketing and a nice tin are the only things the product actually has in it's favour while the balm itself is awful and doesn't seem fit for purpose. I would not recommend this to other users and will definitely be steering clear of it in the future personally. If this review has been helpful to you please take the time to rate it by clicking 'yes' below.
