Nothing special to say about this but it does work for what I need. I am not using this for a pool but as a backup to make bleach and also purify drinking water if need be. I am keeping this stuff in glass ball jars and have made labels with the instructions on the outside stating proper mixture amounts for safety reasons. Just be careful mixing and using this stuff. Wear eye protection and rubber gloves when handling. I am in no way suggesting that anyone else use this item the way I do. I suggest doing some extensive research for whatever you decide to do with this. You can do great harm to yourself and others if used improperly. If unsure how to use it then I suggest you don't. If you are purifying water and you wish to feel safe, then use water purification tablets. If you do decide to use this in other ways, you best be sure you know what you are dealing with. I suggest just being safe for you and your family. However in my case this will work fine for my needs and I know what I can do with it while being safe. To me this is a must have prepper item that gives me the ability to sanitize and also to create safe drinking water in an emergency. Filtering and boiling water is just the start when conditions are unsafe. As for making bleach it works great. Store bought bleach has a very short shelf life so I wouldn't suggest NOT storing a bunch back. It will degrade over time and depending on the type and conditions it may only last 6 to 8 months before it is not as effective. I also never use splashless bleach and never use bleach with extra additives. Not a chance I want to take. Otherwise i'm sure this stuff is great for pools. The reviews seem to suggest so.

This bag is going to last a looooooong time! Only 1/8 teaspoon is needed for a 60 gallon barrel. Each year I drain our two water barrels into our garden beds and refill them. I found this product via a homestead YouTube review and decided to try it. So far, so good.

I don't actually have a pool of my own. I bought this as an emergency water purifier according to the specifications and directions of the EPA. Please follow their instructions (google it) if you use this for that purpose. A mere heaping teaspoon will make a solution to purify 100 gallons of water, so be very careful not to use too much. I normally prefer to use liquid chlorine, just a few drops per gallon, but liquid loses its potency after several months, and this stuff will last for much much longer. I don't want to be one of the people standing in a long line trying to get drinking water after a disaster. How can I tell it is good? Well, all I need is the chlorine, and my hands smelled of chlorine just taking it out and putting the package intact inside a jar, which I store way up high were no children can get to it.
