This is a great quality hair claw, which everyone can use. It's very strong and that's what I love most about it. I would not say that people with really thick and long hair can use it for standard up-do twists (whatever they're called), but people with thick hair can use these for half up-do's, the ones where you gather the hair from above your ears,, and cinch it in the back. I have "blue undertone" skin, which is fair, pinky skin, but is only called "blue" undertoned because we're the blue bloods, and gold generally clashes with my skin tone, so I got the hematite color. The hematite seems a little goth (too dark) to me, and I would have preferred a more antiquey or pewter type of look, but I'm still happy to have this hair claw because it's such great quality, and the metal look is a good look, too. This claw seems to open pretty wide, and thus can grab a good amount of hair, and for that reason it doesn't need to be super long, and so it has a minimal look to it, for those who are minimalists. It's just an all around great quality hair claw and I highly recommend it!!

I like this gold metal claw clip for attractiveness and durability. It is pretty, and its metal may be more durable than plastic. It is curved and does not have any sharp edges, but it is a claw clip, so it does have the claw to hold the hair. I do not like this clip for effectiveness. I have fine hair, and the clip does not catch and hold my hair well, so my hair keeps coming loose from the clip. The price was a bit high for me at over $7, but acceptable due to likely durability. The clip feels very slightly heavier to me than plastic. The claw clip I previously had was plastic, and it broke. I liked it because it held my fine hair pretty well. I would wrap my hair up on top of my head and place the claw clip on top of my head. After I fastened it, the clip part (the part you press to open the claw) would stick up a little above my hair. I liked this because it gave my small round head more height, which I thought looked attractive. This gold metal claw clip is smaller than the one I had, which was not easy for me to discern from the videos. I was afraid it might be too big for me, but it turned out to be too small for me. It does not stand up much above my hair. The actual measurements might help, but they are approximate: The clip part you press to open the claw (which is on top of the claw part) is about 3/4" in height and slightly over 1" in length and 1" width. The claw part itself is about 7/8" in height, 3" in length, and slightly over 1" in width. It's a pretty curved gold clip that is likely more durable than plastic, so you might like it, especially if you have thick hair, but for my needs it is not ideal.

This is a step up from the plastic clips I've used for most of my life. It seems very durable and holds my hair nicely. I would say that it might not be for someone with fine hair. It could slip through the hair easier since it's a bit heavier than the plastic clips. It's a very pretty claw clip and overall a great purchase for me!

Bought this clip a little over a year ago. The pictures are from today. I absolutely love this clip! Use it daily. I have fine/slippery blonde hair (but a lot of it), and it holds all my hair up great. A few times, the pin in the middle has start to come loose, and once it came out fully. Not a huge deal, it is easy to reassemble. Super happy with the durability!! My old plastic clips would consistently meet their tragic ends at the bottom of my backpack, smashed under a big book... sigh...

Really pretty! But a tad heavy, so it slumps down a bit. Might need to learn a new technique for it. If you're great with hair products, this one is probably worth buying.

Aunque es mucho más pesada que una pinza de plástico, me gusta que el material sea de metal porque dura más. Tengo el cabello pesado, y estas pinzas funcionan perfecto. Además, el color me gustó mucho.
