Have always been somewhat sceptical in using these dongles as unsure they delivered a good experience. This in particular works really well, is very small and there are no wires dangling down. Connects as soon as I turn on my car, no fuss and no need to plug in the phone anymore! Also it was a good price when compared to other alternatives at Amazon. So far it has been a great experience.

Connects rapidly, usually within 5 seconds or less, using in a 2020 Peugeot 508, no issues and very happy overall with the product so far.Used one from another company previously but this seems to be much better quality, very little lag.Very simple initial set up

This neat little USB device allows a car fitted with Android Auto play or Carplay to be converted into wireless capability thus avoiding the need for the phone to be connected by a USB cable.The instructions provide clear guidance to set up either an Android or iPhone mobile phone to connect wirelessly to either Carplay or Android Auto. I have an Android Sony Xperia phone, and although the instructions suggested I might need to set the developer options in the Android Auto app, this wasn’t necessary. So I switched my car and radio on, and plugged in the USB device. My phone was already paired with the car’s Bluetooth, so the only thing left to do was to search for the USB device Bluetooth connection “smartBox-xxxx” which was found immediately, and within a few seconds the phone was connected to Android Auto and I could see all my apps on the screen. Brilliant!So overall this working perfectly and I am very pleased with it, and I would say that it is not bad value at all compared to many on the market and I could recommend it.

It’s very very rare that I give 5 star reviews as i only give them to things that genuinely deserve it and this does exactly what it claims. My car doesn’t have wireless CarPlay/AA and as I have a work and personal phone that I prefer to charge wirelessly due to being in and out the car multiple times a day so having a wireless connection is great for me. I have both an Apple and android phone so being able to connect without issues is a change (previous adapters have needed rebooting when changing over phones due to locking up) as is not having Audio problems after making/receiving a phone call. The adapter is very small but will jut out when plugged in so you also get a short extension lead to help if you haven’t got the clearance above the car USB socket to plug directly in. The lead and adapter use USB A (I am no expert but I suspect cars with USB C sockets in them will have wireless CarPlay built in) and initial connection was super easy just search for the adapter on the phones Bluetooth pairing menu and once paired via Bluetooth the rest is automatic (the instructions provided are clear and easy to follow) and the best part is if you have a work phone and private phone switching between them (for example at the weekend or evening) is straight forward you just need to turn the Bluetooth off on the phone you don’t want connecting when you get in the car (once the other phone is connected you can turn it back on again.) if the phone is not in range or off then you don’t need to do anything it just connects as normal a few seconds later.As a single phone user this adapter if absolutely fine but as a multi phone user it’s brilliant

For someone who has Android Carplay hard-wired in their car, and has to physically plug in their phone to use it every time they set off, this little gadget is perfect. It connects the phone to the carplay device instantly, so no messing around before you travel. The adapter was really easy to set up - it linked the phone to the car's system without any fuss, and it recognises and fires up the connection whenever the car is started, which avoids all the hassle of having to fiddle with the phone every time you get in the car.So far, I've had no problems, and it has worked perfectly every time.A great little product - worth every penny.

So far this has worked flawlessly, it connects in 5-10 seconds with very little latency, goodbye wires and hello freedom of a wireless adapter. I am very impressed with this product.

I previously tried the Motorola Android Auto wireless adapter (often said to be the best one out there) and found it lacking. In particular, the music playback would frequently skip and stutter. So far, this adapter has performed flawlessly with absolutely no skips or stutters in audio playback. Setup was super simple, just enable Android Auto on your car, plug it in and pair your phone to the adapter. Everything else is taken care of automatically.I also like the fact there is a mechanism by which you can update the firmware in this adapter should that be required down the road. This will help future proof you from changes in Android Auto and is feature that is lacking in the Motorola adapter.Overall, I am pleased with this adapter and with the freedom of reliably using Android Auto wirelessly.

Mi piace la sua forma ridotta e il fatto che ci sono riuscito a collegarlo subito, praticamente ha fatto tutto da solo , il Sync della macchina ha trovato subito l'adattatore e dopo aver accettato tutte le condizioni di Sync (Ford Kuga 2019) e comparso sul display l'android auto con tutte le sue funzionalità, adesso potrei avere il telefono in tasca senza perdere tempo a collegarlo con il cavetto alla macchina! Este pequeñísimo adaptador USB compatible con conexiones USB-A y USB-C la verdad es que funciona de maravilla.Había probado dos adaptadores anteriormente, mucho más aparatosos en cuanto a tamaño, eran una cajita de varios centímetros que tenías que esconder de alguna manera para no dejarla a la vista y no siempre era fácil, devolví los dos porque me costó mucho que se sincronizaran con el coche a pesar de ser el mismo procedimiento, exactamente igual, pero no había manera y una vez conseguido el emparejamiento la verdad es que la mitad de las veces que encendía el coche no se activaba nada en la pantalla.Yo sólo lo he usado para Car Play a pesar de ser también compatible con Android Auto, lo cual le da un plus de compatibilidad con todo el mundo, independientemente de tu sistema operativo en el teléfono.El emparejamiento fue de un par de minutos, las instrucciones en varios idiomas muy claras, buscar el wifi del dispositivo y emparejar el bluetooth y listos, a partir de aquí, cada vez que conectas el coche ya tienes Car Play inalámbrico en tu coche.Es muy importante decir que tu coche ya tiene que ser compatible con Car Play por cable para poder usar estos dispositivos y lo que consigues con esto es eliminar el cable y la comodidad de poder llevar tu música, mapas o hacer llamadas con el teléfono en el bolsillo mientras conduces si quieres.Una vez configurado he de decir que tarda unos 15-20 segundos en aparecer Car Play en pantalla, para mi es un tiempo muy aceptable.De las últimas 20 conexiones sólo una falló y creo que fue más problema del sistema de infoentretenimiento del coche que del dispositivo porque hacía cosas raras, fue reiniciarlo (pulsación larga del encendido) y listo, se conectó.La calidad de sonido, para mí, es idéntica a llevarlo con cable, el único inconveniente que le veo y que puede que a ti no te resulte molesto, es que hay un ligero retraso (delay) entre las pulsaciones en pantalla y la respuesta del dispositivo, pero esto ya me pasaba con todos los inalámbricos que he probado, no es nada nuevo.Si estás parado y miras un video de youtube por ejemplo, te darás cuenta que la imagen y el audio están desincronizados, ese pequeño retraso se nota en esos momentos pero en la reproducción de música no te das cuenta.También he de decir que desde que uso este dispositivo el Google Maps ahora me avisa de los radares con una señal sonora y con el cable no me lo había hecho nunca y no he tocado nada de la configuración de la aplicación, esto no lo entiendo, pero me alegro que ahora funcione así.Su tamaño, sencillez de instalación, rápido funcionamiento y su estabilidad en la conexión lo hace un dispositivo muy útil y este se queda en el coche fijo.Recuerda que también es compatible con Android Auto y por este precio he probado más caros, más grandes y con más problemas, así que muy contento con este dispositivo.Po último, yo pongo mi Iphone sobre un soporte Magsafe en la rejilla y antes, como conectaba el cable cada vez que entraba al coche, el cargador magsafe no hacía nada más que aguantar el teléfono porque al conectar el cable la carga por cable tiene prioridad, ahora ya no conecto nada y se activa la carga Magsafe, más rápida y segura para la batería que el cable y no estropeas la conexión del teléfono.
