This grit does very well in the stage 1 tumbling process. The things i like most is the grit is very durable. Usually there's still close to half of it still intact and working after 1 week. I often let it roll 2 weeks since stage 1 takes so long anyway.

Rock polishing grit: This is the first time I have used this particular brand of grit, I found the National Geographic grit, to be not so great. Although I am new at rock tumbling, but am learning more, and decided to give this brand a try, and so far so good. I like the packaging too, the plastic pouch, is thick and has an easy spout for pouring

A decent step 1 grit, good value for the cost.

It’s coarse grit. It’s dirty, messy, and turns my rocks into suspicious-looking sludge. Exactly what it’s supposed to do. Works well for the first stage of tumbling and gives my rocks a good start on their long, expensive journey to becoming slightly shinier rocks.

Good buy, does the job, will purchase again.
