FVLFIL Lesley Elizabeth Herbes de Provence, 2.0 Ounce

This is a very tasty addition to almost any dish. My favorites are in bean stews and on pork. It's my lazy, go-to seasoning. If I don't have a strong idea of what I want in a dish, I pull out this and it's always great.The ingredients are:Garlic, Thyme, Basil, Salt, Onions, Oregano, Rosemary, Lavender, Black Pepper.Compare to the crock of  Herbs de Provence Crock , which is 3x the price for 1/2 of the product.Thyme - Basil - Savory - Fennel - Lavender flowers6x the cost??!!? No thanks, the "beautiful crock" ain't THAT nice.I really do like fennel though, so I often grind up some fennel seeds in a mortar and pestle and add it.

This is the only Herbes de Provence that I will use. I have tried many others, even expensive ones from specialty shops. Most have a harsh mixture of herbs- most too heavy on the lavender. This brand is absolutely perfect and makes the best roast chicken that you will ever taste! Mix the herbs with softened butter and spread beneath the skin, then do the same to the outside. When you bake it the herbs will permeate the meat with a taste of France.

Great seasoning. I recently smoked a brisket that had been marinating, this came in so the next day prior to putting on the smoker. I scored the fat layer and put a good sprinkling of this herb. I'd swear it was the best I've ever cooked (of course I say that every time it turns out moist). I know this spice did not contribute to the brisket's moisture but the seasoning was great.

deeeelish!!! i use this to zazz up my spaghetti sauce, and it works like a charm!! people are amazed at how good my spaghetti is thatnks to my 'secret ingredient'!!! :D

Excellent herbs, using in cooking dishes with the Provence and Italian flare. Adds a gourmet touch and great flavor. Highly recommend these spices and others by this company! Garden Vegetable, the best on green salads, too!

This was a nice blend. I use it to season baked squash and find it has a unique taste. This mix had lots of good sized pieces.

Perhaps, maybe a little heavy on the sage . . .
