I want her entire wardrobe and love how she owns (and knows) her body
What a ride! Judith Rashleigh is a heroine/antiheroine for the modern woman; complex, whip-smart, damaged but not broken, she knows what she loves but maybe not quite who she is. She seeks pleasure but is not a complete hedonist, she's ruthless but not without compassion...or a sense of humour. I want her entire wardrobe and love how she owns (and knows) her body. This is a fun read - a bit different from Maestra, but no less entertaining. Can't wait for the third, and all I can say is that I hope the sexy Russian makes a come back; loved him!

An opportunity for the author to show off her extensive vocabulary and knowledge!
Very disappointing. Was eagerly awaiting for this book to be released. Different from the first book as the characters have moved on. Good story, however at times difficult to read and had to read several scenes twice. Complicated descriptive language and explanations embedded within scenes which disrupt the flow of the book and the scene as at times, seemed as though the author had gone off on a tangent and needed to impress her readers with the extensive knowledge and vocabulary. Overall enjoyable but hindered by the unessesary added details.

... debut novels recently including LS Hilton’s ‘Maestra’ which was great, and Jack Lee Bronson’s thriller ‘Trust No Girl’
I have read a few debut novels recently including LS Hilton’s ‘Maestra’ which was great, and Jack Lee Bronson’s thriller ‘Trust No Girl’, which I would say was comparable to Domina presenting readers with exciting action, driven by a cleverly written plot.Domina kicks off with a murder and graphic sex scene. The main character, Judith Rashleigh, lives the good life in Venice, running an art gallery. But, she uses a false name, as she had to leave a similar post in Paris abruptly. Someone finds out and sets out to blackmail her. Her only hope is to find a certain painting, though she suspects it doesn’t actually exist. Others are after it too, and her life is put at risk.Like Maestra, this book is well written and researched. Best of all, it’s absorbing and exciting. I can’t wait to get LS Hilton’s third book and the next in Jack Lee Bronson’s series for my next holiday in August!

Such a shame doesn't live up to book 1
I love book 1. But I'm not a fan of book 2. It's hard to describe why but I wasn't invested in the characters the story seem disconbected the onward journey was a let down. And I found the book rambling on in parts stuff I call the padding so i had to skip chunks to finally pick up with the story again. Not enough murders either has Judith gone soft. I've purchased book 3 I hope it redeems itself. If not i won't be returning to this author again.

Loved LS Hilton’s novels. I bought her triology
This novel transports you on an exciting adventure and is beautifully written. My only criticism is that I found the sexual scenes on occasion too graphic.

A good yarn trying to get out from underneath its dirty raincoat.
Not a standalone book. A lot of references to previous book which makes plot confused. Even the ending was really just a lead in to the next book. Cynical editing to shift as many units as possible. Sex scenes seemed to indicate author either didn't have the confidence that the book would stand on its own merits and wanted a bit of the "Fifty Shades" afterglow. Clearly well researched and a good book trying to out from underneath its dirt raincoat.

Don't bother, watch Riviera and you get a better version.
I found the first book insipid and forgot most of the plot that was needed for this 2nd book. I should have remembered it wasn't worth the effort. I found this story written in an erratic way, the main character was unbelievable - I get the point the character needs to be unrelateable as she's sociopath, but it just came across as poorly and lazily written. Just a long list of the materialistic items required to live the lifestyle. I'm annoyed I wasted the time to read the whole book. Should have given up earlier.

A fun follow on read!
Sexy? Of course. What did you expect. Mystery? Continues. Twists and turns; travel, marvelous clothes and locations. Keeps you involved right up to the final moment. More to come? Please ...

Intrigue!
Loved it - had the first one in the series from years ago and re read it recently which encouraged me to follow up on the sequel with Domina - I’ll be ordering the third instalment soon! Excellent read - makes “Fifty Shades of Grey” seem more like two shades!!!
