I'm a 64 y/o driving a 1992 VW Golf 1.8 litre 8v. Not a scratch on the tornado red paint. Bought it in 1996 with 38,000 miles on it. She has 206k now and it my favorite car to drive, mainly because it turns heads all the time. Then, when they see this old man driving, I get the thumbs up! I started using RP 20/50 with the zinc at 120k. Within a few short days, the few drops of oil on the floor disapeared. This little engine is turning 4000 rpm at 80 mph. She burns a quart every 1500 or so but runs so smooth doing it and doesn't leak a drop on my tiled garage floor. I am confident that if I hadn't t started using it, I would've had some kind of engine repair by now. I change the oil and filter ( also RP) way more than I should....and I don't mind. Keep in mind its only a 1.8, I'm not gonna outrace anyone! But on the hiway, I keep up with anyone I want....under 3 digits. 5000 rpm's seems a bit much for extended driving, I'm old(er) not crazy, yet. I use RP in my F-150, my wifes Sonata and my 79 MG Midget. In my book, this is the best oil you can buy, period and It's probably the cheapest thing you can do to keep you car out of the shop.

Great oil for my Kawasaki FH580V mower engine. The engine is now 19 years old and 1.410 hours and uses NO oil. I do add 2 ozs. of ZDDP every other oil change (at 30-35hours) for zinc anti-wear.

My 300km CRV started to get a single drop every time I take it out of my garage. Always just one drop, even if the car hasn’t been used for days. This started the day after I changed the oil. Maybe a fluke thing that happened to just me, but I thought I should mention it. I would recommend using their HMX oil for high-mileage vehicles... I would like to switch to it myself, but NOBODY seems to carry it in 5W20. Best of luck.
