lost the one remote to our bedroom Smart TV - purchased this remote, identical to lost remote. Details stated remote need no preprogramming , works instantly on Smart TV. Remote arrived, did not turn on tv, tried several different sets of batteries, nothing. Returned for refund, took 30 days for refund to show in account, never encountered such long wait time, for an Amazon return. 1 Star because remote did not work as stated, and because of having to wait an entire month for refund to appear

Worked for my TCL 55S434 55" that I got from a friend who lost the remote. Opened this remotes packaging, took it out, popped open the battery cover, put in some used AAA batteries I took out of my wireless keyboard, shut the battery cover, remote worked right away. Only complaint is needing to provide my own batteries, not a big deal at all :)

Works great

The remote synced instantly to the TCL smart TV. Not much to say other than it is a perfect universal remote and what a bargain.

Unless the remote is deep up the TV's fartbox it does not work from any distance - :(
