The next generation of table tennis balls has finally arrived. Introducing the Xushaofa Seamless Poly 3-Star Ball, offering the most durable and consistently accurate product on the market. Approved by the ITTF and USATT for international and domestic competitions. With our innovative construction process, we offer an entirely seamless table tennis ball, permitting the most consistent bounce and accurate performance to date. Unlike traditional celluloid balls, which are no longer used for competition play, our poly plastic material is more durable and long-lasting. Great for a Carnival Game
I bought these ping pong balls for no other reason than I wanted some nice, colorful bouncy balls for a carnival game for my son's third birthday party carnival. Table tennis balls can be very expensive or come in huge quantities, so this pack of training balls was the right price for the right amount. For our game, I bought a dozen ivy bowls from a dollar store and then filled a bowl with these balls. The kids had to try and toss them in the bowls in a tic-tac-toe. It was so much more difficult than it looks! These balls were wonderfully bouncy, which added to the challenge and floated great in the bowls. They were also colorful so it was easy to follow the game. See pictures attached.

$2 each (when you buy 24) is not a bad price for these balls
ordering the balls on Amazon was seemless. $2 each (when you buy 24) is not a bad price for these balls, shipping was free and only took about a week. Not a bad deal. As for the balls themselves, I'm not an expert on the new seamless but these feel pretty good. As with all other balls (including the old 38's and the old celluloid 40's) one must check each ball by spinning them to see if they are truly round or if they wobble a bit. Balls that wobble will cause you to miss more. In a pack of 6 you can expect about 4 to be good and 2 to have some wobble, this is true of any brand that I have tried.

I think this is one of the better poly balls that I've tried
I think this is one of the better poly balls that I've tried. I read reviews that said this ball broke easily, but I've been using them over a month and haven't had one break yet. I think the seamless design may make the ball more durable. Also, it feels like this ball is a bit heavier than other poly balls such as the butterfly 3-star 40+ and the DHS 40+. This ball seems to have a higher bounce than other balls, which can be a positive or negative based on your preferred play style. I had bought the DHS poly ball because I saw it was going to be the official ball for the 2016 Rio Olympics, however 3 of the DHS poly balls broke after using them less than 6 hours each. So, maybe this Xushaofa ball should be considered for international ITTF events.

Seamless Poly 40+ are horrible...these balls will ruin the game of table tennis
I do not agree with the rest of the reviews. The new Poly balls are horrible which I believe ITTF will change there mind on this ball. First of all the loss of spin is gone especially if anyone chops at the ball they might as well change their game. The ball feels bigger and it does at times behaves like a cel ball, but it feels dead majority of the time.I'm a bit skeptical about the opinion of ITTF about slowing down the game by these changes with the new ball. When it comes to Rubber you might as well throw away your Hurricane 3 or Tenergy because these rubbers have no impact on these balls. I am not sold that the Chinese national team is using this ball or will agree to use this ball in the super league. Once you are getting use, you'll realize that everything becomes easier because of the mild spin. Serves are not as effective as before as well as receives are easier. Mid-power loops or brushing loops are not as effective as before, any spinning high ball can be easily killedThis ball is does the exact opposite of how the Chinese play this game so I do not expect this to be a popular ball. Game becomes easier to read, linear, plain, harder but definitely more simple with noticeable lost of spin in most areas.I am sending these balls back and I am not going to use any seamless 40+ ball until they actually make one that reacts just like the 3 star Celluloid balls. I have written to the ITTF and I have told ou local table tennis club that we cannot allow these balls in any local tournament until we see a change in the play. These are great for training or for anyone starting to play table tennis.

Good quality table tennis balls
I play 4 or 5 times a week. These balls take a lot of punishment. Since the balls are a single unit and not fused together, they have a good feel. Only one ball cracked so far after lots of use and foreward slams. I seem to lose them more than anything. I think they are worth the price.Update July 5th 2019- I still want to point out these balls are durable. For me each ball lasts 3-5 months of heavy usage (4-5 times a week of play). I did recently have a couple of new balls crack, which was kind of surprising. Though those when struck hit the corner on a door, and caused the crack.

I think that these balls were pretty valuable. Older players will definitely feel a change ...
I bought the pack of 6 balls, costing $12.5. For that price, I think that these balls were pretty valuable. Older players will definitely feel a change when switching from the old celluloid 40 balls, to these 40+ plastic ones. That being said, these Xushaofa balls did hold up better than I expected. It took me about 7 games or so of hard hitting to crack one, and my partner was using a hardbat too!Still, these do break easily in comparison to celluloid balls, so if the price was a bit lower, I would give it 5 stars.
