Sponges work great for seed growth
The sponges draw water to the seeds but allow the seeds to swell and grow.

Dont soak up water for the seeds.
I dont like these sponges since they dont soak up the water for my Aero Garden. The sponges that I purchased in the past soak up water just fine. Disappointing for sure!!
