Versatile, tough and well made in 2 lengths
Absolutely the best! After still using my late mother's which is over 15 years old, and after an operation that meant I couldn't stoop to pick things up, I bought another for upstairs.. It is incredible - versatile, strong enough to bring down a plastic jar of syrup or a packet of cereal from the top shelf in a kitchen cupboard - to being delicate enough grip to pick up single specs of fluff from the floor - or even a tiny seed! With two lengths of handle, and British made - I recommend it 100%, and worth every penny!

Invaluable long reach grabber with magnetic tip
A great quality long handled grabber. Excellent claw action for picking up items. Magnetic tip very useful for retrieving fallen keys and small metal objects. Bought this style as I feel the the pincer action is easier for picking up smaller items than the other style. Got this longer grabber to enable me to close/open my trickle window vents, which I can’t reach myself. This stick/grabber is very sturdy as unlike my other shorter model, it is rigid and does not dislocate/disconnect when picking up something a bit heavier. Very impressed with this model and I can recommend. Lovely and lightweight and the handle is comfortable and ideal for my arthritic hand/s. Happy customer. Many thanks.

The best grabber on the market.
I recommend the Helping Hand Company Classic grabber every time I have needed to order one. I buy these for a charity to give away to its customers. The best item I have found for a grabber.

Invaluable for people with physical problems to retrieve small items
I have two of these - one for upstairs and one downstairs. They are invaluable if you are unable to bend down to retrieve small items and can also be used to open and close curtains. I would definitely recommend them. They are well-made and good value for money.

Perfect for the job
The other half has nasty upper body injuries from a cycling accident, and as a result, is struggling with many simple every day tasks and the frustration that goes with that. In the course of an hour, he dropped his toothbrush, the lid off a water bottle and a pen, and was getting very exasperated and upset with himself. I bought a couple of these and left them within easy reach, in the rooms that he uses the most. They have been the perfect solution and have given back a decent amount of independence, although now he's not so worried about dropping things, he's not doing it as much. As these are the 26" grabbers, they do not have the longest reach on them, but that does mean that they are easier to manoeurvre. They are robust, the trigger is easy to pull and the yellow trim means that they're easy to see. The grabber will pick up both small and reasonable heavy items with ease. I've also used them for things such as picking up litter and closing curtains behind a large table that is difficult to lean over, so these will still be used once the injuries have healed. A highly recommended product.

Can be an asset to give chance to do things for yourself
Good little gadget. Given me some freedom back after surgery. No bending forward or loading washing machines. This enabled me to put washing in the washing machine and dryer. Bit awkward as hook tries to pull washing back out but manage to keep it in there with bit of determination. I would have gladly paid to have a seperate hook. Keep dropping things on the floor, this picks it up. Bit of a struggle if things like cans are close together. You have to seperate the item. Round tubs arent easy, eg salt . Difficult to grip. Be prepared to drop things. Make sure if its dropped and comes open you shall be able to clean the mess. Practise is required. I couldnt fill a washing machine cap and get it in the washer, now i have mastered it! Pity there isnt one for slightly heavier items. Cannot solve sll your situations but i have found it to be a valuable asset and i am pleased Amazon lists it on here.

Best reachers for weak hands.
Lightweight and sturdy with a hook-shaped trigger that makes it easy to hang on a doorknob. Easy to use, even for someone with very little hand strength. Highly recommend. It is very tall/long, though.
