I am very happy with the assortment in the package. It's perfect for building miniatures. Great for anyone who is new to building models or miniatures. They can give it a test run without buying a bunch of individual packages of different size wood. This is not for people who want to carve! I see poor ratings for this item because people expect to carve with it. That's not going to happen. Think dollhouse furniture and you will be happy. I purchased this along with extra long tongue depressors and have plenty of wood to make many vintage and chabby chic projects. Add a few dowels, bamboo skewers and wood/bamboo chopsticks to the mix and you will have hours of creative enjoyment!

At first I wasn't sure if I could use the prices but I'm glad I kept them! Great quality Wood and I love the smell of the wood. Has good variety of wood.I used it to make a miniature sports bar.

Pictured is two packages worth of wood. The quality and variety was great but almost all of the larger pieces have barcode printing on them which is very annoying.

Good! They are different sizes so my boyfriend will use them with his scroll saw. They're good for what you pay. Once they're done they will need to be stained as well.

I didn't need anything fancy. This is scrap to practice pyrography/woodburning tips on so I don't ruin my main project. I wasn't expecting much, and knew there would be some strips because it's advertised as random. It turned out to be broken pieces and mostly small.What I received were2 count 8in x 3in x.1/2 in - SNAPPED IN HALF unevenly and vertically2 count 7 1/4in x 3in x 1/2in - 2 pieces have cracks down the side. One has dents in the face of one side. A sander could probably take them out with patience and time.1 count 8in x 2in x 1/8th in - knots and a dark black barcode inked with takes up about 1/8th of the piece on the back. Might sand off or could be painted over.1 count 8in x 2in x 1/16th - flimsy but okay for my purposes1 count 8 in x 4 in x 1/2 in15 count 7 1/4in x 1/2 in x 1/2 in13 count 7 1/2in x 1/2 in x 1/8th in1 count 8in x 1/4th in x 1/2 inBottom line: I won't buy this again. I'll pay more for a larger piece of wood so I know what I'm getting.

I would not be without this product and the basswood strips. They are invaluable for making dioramas offering time saving support for shelves, furniture and structures. The basswood pieces are easy to cut and are a joy to work with. Thank you so much I will be a repeat customer.
