Worked well for a couple of months but then the rubber teeth stopped gripping the pencils, so they just spin with the blade when you turn the crank... disappointed.

Great purchase. I was annoyed by me electric staples sharpeners. They would sharpen the pencil on one side more than another. This one will sharpen the pencil straight and it pulls the pencil in until its sharp.

Carl Pencil Sharpener Angel 5 Premium (A5PR-R)
This is the best pencil sharpener I've ever used.Metal body looks last long and beautiful deep red color. Practical but simple sleek design.It's not like other cheaply made in China plastic pencil sharpenersThe handle is very smooth and rotate very quietly. It does not come with desk clamp,but I don't really need it.Because it's metal so it has a nice weight to stay while you sharpen your pencils.It has a hole for clamp at the bottom and I could put a clamp which I already had and it worked fine.Just one little confusion. I wanted model A5PR and I found this item.The picture looks like A5PR and product details also look like A5PR.I don't know why it is listed as "CC-2000". This is clearly model A5PR,which I wanted.So if you are looking for CC-2000,this might not be the one you are after.The box shows "Carl Pencil Sharpener Angel 5 Premium A5PR-R."Recently I'm addicted to adult coloring and have lots of colored pencils to be sharpen.I've been looking for a good pencil sharpener for a long time and tried many different kinds.But at last,this is the one! I have Faber-Castell Arbrecht Durer,Faber-Castell Polychromos and Prismacolor Premium. They all fit nicely and get shapen wonderfuly. You feel the handle is light when the pencil is sharpen enough.It's not automatic stopper,but works fine with me.I wish I could give 10 stars.This is an authentic Made in Japan,high quality crafted with pride product.If you are looking for a good pencil sharpener,this is it. I strongly recommend this. I love love love this sharpener!
