Works great feels comfortable. I wish the blade had a little bit better seat when it rests on the nubs. When you close the back and sandwich it together the blade can slightly move. Not much easy fix, just keep an eye out. Fits great in the hand. Looks slick. High quality not cheap feeling.

After about 30 seconds of fussing, I was able to get a blade secured in place. That's not terrible, but still, I'm not going to be using this again. The mechanism holding the blade "in place" is not secure in the slightest. You have to balance the blade against a couple of tiny bumps on one half of what feels like a piece of misaligned tweezers, and hope the blade doesn't shift out of place while you secure it. In short, I am far more likely to injure myself loading this device than I am while using it for its intended purpose. The "extras" are the only things in the package even close to worth anything, which is mildly infuriating. I do not want "free blades" when I buy a straight razor. I want to choose the blades that I use with it -- there are many to choose from on this very same site. Nor do I want a chintzy "leather" case, whose production cost must be something like a dollar, when I buy a straight razor. I want a quality straight razor that doesn't feel like a pair of children's scissors and can be relied upon to quickly secure a sharp blade in place. I feel like I must be going insane that I have to write a review like this in the first place. EDIT: Against my better judgment, I tried using this razor anyway. Bad idea. Even with the mechanism locked, the blade is free to shift around. I have a nice scab under my right sideburn now.

No, this isn't a sponsored review or a Vine review, it's just my review as I'm that impressed with it and I thought I'd post it as a thank you to the manufacturer. This is quality made and for the price at only £6.97 'Feb 2022', it's a no brainer. High quality wood and very good quality chromed steel, and a nice little pouch to drop it into. I did find this type of razor in Boots but at three times the price you would have to be stupid to go for that one, even if it does have a BIG brand name beginning with 'G' ;) Instructions are included, even a QR Code to a video. Just spend your money on this one and you certainly won't regret it. Happy Shaving :)

I've been using this razor kit by Markhor since July 2023 and to this day it still performs really well. The handle has a subtle curve on it that provides a natural resting place for your finger which makes it comfy to use. The build quality is also really solid made out of stainless steel which is probably why it has lasted so long for me. For me at least I also appreciate the look of it, having the matte colour + the gold accent gives it a premium look. The only minor point I would have about this is that the blade can be slightly stiff to remove after a couple of uses but I wouldn't say this is a major issue. Overall this is a durable, professional quality razor ideal for those who self groom their own beards and moustache. I would definitely recommend this blade to anyone looking to get something reliable and good value for money.
