First product I have found that isn't lying about it's ability to BLOCK light. You can see this test fit worked great with just the corners secured - the lower left is only letting light through bevause it's gaping, unlike the right where it's closer to the wall. It isn't the prettiest thing but it works, and I could easily sew a fabric on top or put a cute curtain over top. I was also able to use ONE product to cover TWO ftx3ft windows (which even spending $50, most curtains do not cover) but cutting this in half right down the middle. The included razor worked great, and while I prefer magnets it also came with velcro if that is preferable. Very easy to set up and worth every penny, despite being lighter and thinner than the 6 other curtains I have tried. Thank you for finally allowing me to sleep comfortably again

I haven’t installed them the proper way yet. I was desperate and just used push pins, but wow, these are amazing! The blackout capability and temperature control are seriously quality of life changing! I bought these mainly for the temperature control because the house air conditioner is broken and it’s reaching 85/90 degrees in here, I was feeling so ill, these covers have saved my health and my sanity! My pots flares have died down! And my bedroom is completely dark from the window that I have covered with these. They aren’t lookers, so they definitely need nice curtains in front of them, but I’m the only one in my bedroom so their appearance doesn’t bother me because they work so well. The first picture is taken at 10:45 in the morning of the window covered.

I work nights and sleep during the day. I had new windows put in and my blackout roller shade wouldn’t fit in the new windows. I ordered this product and my room is blacker than night! I came back to order for all the bedroom windows. I gave myself about 2 inches extra fabric around all the edges. Easy to measure and cut. You initially peel and stick the thick round magnets on the window frame - try to mount as close to the edge of your window / wall. You are then supposed to peel and stick the thinner round magnets and place on fabric - but don’t do that. Instead mount the thick magnets, then use the thin magnets on the outside of the fabric to trap the fabric between the magnets - this way if you want to adjust the tension of the fabric you can easily adjust, and if you want to take the fabric out of the windows it’s easy. The mounted heavy magnets stay. I am going to size the fabric for my guest room and put up the magnets but not the fabric until needed. This was super cheap compared to blackout shades. I have pull-up slat shades that always hang down in front so you don’t see the blackout fabric when they are closed. My room was cooler within 10 minutes of putting up the fabric in my west facing windows. The silver side is not super reflective so looks fine from the outside.

It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re planning on using these long-term or in a room with high humidity or heat exposure. All things considered, the BKSAI Cuttable Blackout Window Covers are a great value and a smart solution for anyone looking for a customizable way to block out light without breaking the bank. With slightly improved adhesive, this would easily be a 5-star product.

This product works excellent. It reduced the heat 99 percent. Light 100 percent reduced. Easy to use. Color is perfect. Magnet strength is excellent. Adjustability is excellent. I highly recommend it.

Measure carefully, place mounting equipment carefully, because you don't want to mess this up. I've got a couple of places where light seeps through because I was eyeballing the installation, but it still makes the room comfortably dark when I'm sleeping during the day for night shifts. Also does a wonderful job with the street lights and my neighbor's security light. I put the mounting magnets and velcro out of sight inside the window frame so I can take the thing down and the mounting stuff won't be an eyesore. That does make it a bit more tricky, but it wasn't hard.

It blocks all light out, the inner (window) side is some opaque plastic or fabric. The magnets are a little weak but the adhesive for them and the Velcro are good. I received a used curtain that the previous user had already cut up (I ordered a brand new one) there were scraps of cut fabric and magnets with dry wall attached to them in my package. Luckily it was the right size for my window still😭.

Exactly what we needed for our 3 month olds room! Much better than the alleged blackout curtains we bought but didn’t work. Super easy to install with the little Velcro stickers and made it so dark in there. Highly recommend!

Pretty easy to set up. I use it to cover the lower half of a full-length window to reduce glare and reflection from the street below and it worked well. I didn't want a permanent solution, so the magnet was really nice as it was easy to take off the curtain and put it back on.

Like everyone else I have suffered through the past heatwave and with news of more coming felt the need to do something extra. I have been using sun blocking curtains and they work well but in the evening there is a wall of heat in the window aperture that has to be dispelled. I decided to try these thinking the magnets would make moving or opening them easier. I was right! These are a doddle to put up and the magnets snap together beautifully. I used one magnet at the corner of each window pane and cut the fabric easily to fit then attached the magnetic plates and Bob's your uncle! I installed blinds to each window so I can still open them during early morning and late evening without disturbing the blackout. I had so much fabric left over that I can easily do another window although I used all the magnets on the first. However I bought a set of magnetic fasteners for around a fiver and will use them. Magnets are definitely the way to go. My windows are now darker and the room felt cooler as I installed them. The fabric is quite thin but seems tough so I think with care you will get more than a single season out of this pack.
