Blazing Fast, Future-Ready Cable Modem for Xfinity
I recently upgraded to the NETGEAR Nighthawk CM3000 DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem, and it has been an exceptional performer for my high-speed internet needs. Here's my experience: Pros: Supports Top-Tier Speeds: This modem is approved for cable plans up to 2.5Gbps, making it perfect for today’s ultra-fast internet and future-proofing for years to come. My speeds are consistently reliable, with no dips or interruptions, even during peak hours. Broad Compatibility: It works seamlessly with all major cable providers, including Xfinity, Spectrum, and Cox. Activation with Xfinity was a breeze, taking only a few minutes to get up and running. DOCSIS 3.1 Technology: The mid/high-split support ensures better upstream and downstream capabilities, making it ideal for heavy internet users like gamers, streamers, and remote workers. Compact Design: The sleek, vertical design saves space and blends well with my other networking equipment. Cons: No Built-In Wi-Fi: This modem doesn’t include Wi-Fi capabilities, so you’ll need a separate router for wireless connections. For me, this wasn’t an issue since I paired it with some other routers Price: It’s a bit pricey compared to some other modems, but the performance and future-proofing make it worth the investment.

Lightning Speeds have arrived!
I’ve used netgear equipment for years with their routers and other devices. Everything just works and when it doesn’t, it’s easy to find support and get it working the way I want it to. After upgrading my cable internet speed, I needed an upgraded cable modem and this worked flawlessly with spectrum. They were able to add it quickly to their network and it gave me above 1 gb/s speeds right away. Paired with my nighthawk RS600 and my house runs with crazy speeds! Even in rooms across the house, WiFi speeds exceed 900 mb/s. Fantastic!

Great Download Speed
Such a great upgrade from my previous Modem. I can actually receive the Gig speed I'm paying for. Setup was easy, great instructions included. We have a rural cable/internet company the connectivity was seamless. This modem was mid-range price wise in the research I did, but so far, I consider it a great value.

WORKS!
Really the best cable modem I’ve ever used. Even though I subscribed to Comcast service at 500 Mb down I’m getting close to a gig, 940 Mb down. Stable and reliable.

Netgear not what they used to be
Possibly the worst cable modem I have ever installed. Installed easily enough but I have over 18 wired and wireless security creameries using both proprietary software and micrsoft edge to view and after setting up this modem the cameras would not work. I am a retired IT with over 40 years experience in security camera install and this had me thrown. Put my old netgear c700 modem back in and all is good. This is the second Netgear mid split I have tried and both have been disappointing.

Best 3.1 High-Split ready modem - Spectrum - Large size
The modem replaced a SB8200 on Spectrum and the firmware V6.01.03 is correctly working on Spectrum. The modem works great and is fast. It is VERY tall/large compared to other non-WiFi standalone modems. The admin page to see signal levels and logs is very annoying to get to work on a PC browser and it is highly recommended to check this page on a mobile device browser. The info provided in the cable connection diagnostic admin page is ample and should satisfy most users for signal diagnostics. The advanced administration tab Event Log provides identical information the Arris models show and is the same a Spectrum tech would have access to with their Scope software for their provided modems. I'm happy with the performance of this modem overall, but as stated already a few nitpicks is the overall size of the modem and the wonky desktop browser access of the admin gui page... really strange.

Great Performance w/Ease of Install & Set-Up
My Motorola MB8611started having recurring internet drops. After much troubleshooting with my ISP (Cox) it became pretty clear the ISP, while not perfect, was not the cause of the recurring/daily signal drops (multiple times a day). I decided to do a Modem Swap out; sorry I waited so long to make the change. I purchased a CM3000 to replace the MB8611, change was noticed immediately. Great speeds (+2 Gbps download) and no drops in last 2 days. Super easy install and great User Interface to check modem status, SNRs, etc. Highly recommended product!

Solid Modem
This works as advertised, Only 4 stars the previous one broke after 3 years. This could have been due to an Xfinity blunder, since it broke just as Xfinity was playing with the connection. But I have no way of knowing. I got it because it has voice capability (it is just an Xfinity packaging saving), so most will not be interested in that feature. The non-voice version I would guess, is just as good. Simple to set up (with Xfinity, at least). Not the cheapest, but it does supply the throughoput. In general, a perfectly good product.
