G’bye Static Shocks
I don’t know why, but I constantly get zapped by my car and metal doorknobs in the winter. Some of the shocks were so strong they would take the wind out of my for a minute. I couldn’t take it anymore and decided to try these. They work perfectly. I keep one in my car and one in my purse, and tap them against metal on the outside of my car or on doorknobs. It often takes multiple touches to get all of the static out, so it is so nice to have the light so I know when an item has been fully discharged before I touch it.

No more static shocks! This is the product you need! Good price and looking great on key holder too
We moved to Wyoming and at a high altitude from the UK and not surprisingly we found that the average humidity is 27-30%. Not only it caused dry skin issues, but also electric hair and constant static shocks when touching other persons, any metal object, door handles, car doors and even the washing machine. I was becoming paranoid and terrified about touching anything so I researched for 12 months what to do to avoid the painful static shocks! (I mean won't you think there is something wrong when you see me trying to touch a metal door a million times, without having the courage to submit to another painful event?) Eventually, after asking around, I was suggested I buy these little cute gadgets - in desperation, I bought them and immediately tried them on everything. Normally I do not believe any reviews as they might be fake...but this time I believed them! To my great relief they actually WORK! Now before I touch my super electrified cotton bed linings, or my family members, I grab one of these devices and literally zap the electricity off (I do see a red light). I have stopped getting shocks when transporting my laundry to the washing machine and making the bed! Our carpets are no longer a threatening monster! Whoever created these gadgets deserves a hug! And they are cheap enough. You can feel confident in buying them - it will save your mental health as well!

NOT a Passive Device but Works on Cats!
While I find these devices somewhat overpriced, considering what else you can get for the same cost, these do work well for me, but you have to consciously touch the tip to the object you want to discharge, and usually ~more than once~ and ~in several places~ to dissipate all the static; they don't have a very large area of effect. Also, make sure your flesh is fully touching the metal back end else you'll definitely get a shock. It won't work just wearing it, nor holding it in one hand while touching something with the other. During the day I can't see the light, but it shows up fine at night. I did have some success holding this lengthwise in the cleft between my fingers, against my cats' fur while petting. It didn't stop all of it, but static was substantially less... and the cats were much happier! I just slip the key ring over my middle finger and nestle the device lengthwise against my index and middle fingers, using my thumb to hold it in place while petting. It's a little inconvenient at first, but worth the effort. Sadly, one of the swivels broke the first day. While I did reattach the device to its key ring using the remaining jump ring, it does make it more difficult to use on cats. I would love to see a similar device in the form of a finger ring: Have a metal frame you touch to objects surrounding an LED capsule, with the ring portion serving the same purpose as the back end of this device. Any developers reading this...? 🤞

Works Like a Dream
I’m never going anywhere without one of these in my hand or pocket. My whole life I’ve been prone to static electricity, but the past few months I’ve been getting shocked on a daily basis, and I don’t think it’s just because of the dry air. The new comforter I got has definitely been a static buildup and I can’t even touch my new laptop, mini fridge or light switch without constantly getting shocked. It was getting to the point where I was AFRAID to touch anything. The final straw was when I touched my laptop and the static shock somehow turned on my white noise machine. So I decided to buy these. It’s super easy to use. All you have to do is just touch the round tip to a metal surface and a red light flashes in the center and you can actually hear the little static shock while it’s being discharged. You don’t feel anything. Whether you need one of these just for a gas station or if you’re a person who, like me, is constantly getting shocked, this is an ABSOLUTE must-have!!

Ineffective with shopping cart static
These work fine for mild static, such as from removing a polyester jacket, but they can fail badly for worse static. Maybe it’s just me, but shopping carts tend to build up extreme static. I tried these devices with a certain retailer’s red carts, and I can report that extreme static discharge is still quite painful and violent.

ESD no more!
Works really well even when you discharge large amounts of electrostatic electricity. Looks a bit cheap but at least you don’t worry about zapping yourself on the light switch or other metallic objects that are grounded.

Fun With Science! Protect Your Electronic Stuff, Too!
There are carpets all over my house. We're constantly loaded up with static electricity which can get painful when touching a doorknob. But I really became concerned after I set up a Bluetooth receiver on my trusty old NAD stereo receiver, and used a mini-plug cable to connect my Roku clicker to a Bluetooth transmitter. Gee, getting stereo sound while watching HBO is great. But I began to notice that when I sat down on the couch, all covered in static electricity, and picked up the clicker, it sent a charge of electricity though it that went right through the Bluetooth device, as well, and across the Bluetooth connection! I'd hear a sickening "snap" through the stereo speakers, and frequently, the Bluetooth connection would cut out. Bad for business. Then I put together a solution to save my nervous system and my semi-conductors, and this is product is part of it. (And if you're anything like me, you're going to love the names of these things.) I start with a "StaticTek Banana Jack Outlet Adapter". https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071J61CSV?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 This thing has two plastic prongs that go down the hot bars of an outlet next to the couch. Rule 1 of electromagnetism, class: plastic does not conduct electricity. Believe. Down the ground opening, though, goes the real deal: a bar of electrically conductive metal. Rule 2, class, electricity will never come out the ground hole. It is an "in," never an "out." On the user's side of the adapter, there's a heavy plastic tunnel and within that, the user's end of that conductive tube is just visible. Here's how I work it. When I sit down on the couch, before I pick up the Roku clicker, I pick up one of these "Human Body Static Eliminator Discharger" sticks. Summoning all the faith in science I have, I touch the end of the stick to the exposed end of the tube in the Banana Jack Outlet Adapter. There is never any pain. Instead, I see a tiny bolt of lightning in the colored window of the discharger stick...and I'm done! I can pick up my Roku clicker without sending shocks of lightning though my precious electronics! It's so much fun, even after it's safe to pick up the clicker, I keep touching the stick to the end of the outlet adapter to see how long it takes me to pick up a new charge. I'm always surprised, because it ain't long!

Don’t waste your money
None of the ones I bought light up. Don’t waste your money, carry a metal key and it’ll do the same job.

Absolutely amazing. Having suffered from static electricity all my life, I now have these devices to neutralise the shock. I have them around the house and never leave home without one.

Reduces shock pain!
I have major issues with static. These little units are great for grounding out without zapping your fingers off. The keychain part is a bit weak but the device itself works very well.

Excelentes
Excelentes si funcionan para lo que están hechos, descargan perfectamente la estática sin lastimar, otros que no funcionan correctamente de todos modos dan el trancazo eléctrico, pero con estos uno se olvida de esos detalles.
