These donut bun makers are incredibly easy to use. All you do is put your hair in a ponytail, slip the donut shaper over the hair elastic, and then wrap and tuck your hair around the donut form. In a few seconds, you have a perfect bun! No bobby pins needed, which is a major plus. Depending on how you wrap your hair around the donut form, you can create different bun styles. A tight wrap creates a sleek ballerina bun, while a looser wrap can make a messy bun. The donut shapers are lightweight and soft, so they don't feel bulky or uncomfortable in your hair. My daughter wears them all day without any problems. Good value.

Try a couple times if you don't get it right away. My daughter can now put her own buns in to go to dance and they look perfect everytime! Comes with different colors but I do wish there was a blonde one, the lightest color is a light brown, only reason I didn't give it 4 stars! They work great, highly recommend!

I wouldn’t exactly run out to buy these thinking they’re going to make your hair SO much easier to style. They really won’t.Although they do work to make a bun, it’s a good amount of fussing with them to get it to happen. You have to be pretty good with styling to get a nice, clean looking bun with these. Also, you really are still going to need a rubber band to put your hair in a pony first, then use these bun makers. Otherwise a lot of hair is going to be falling out.These are essentially a slap bracelet and you have to pop it into the bun shape when you’re ready. It’s not super easy to get it to go in that shape, and it’s a bit jarring to do that right against your scalp. I was not a fan of the harshness required lol.Overall these just don’t do it for me. To note, I do have quite curly hair and it is layered. For someone with straight, non layered hair I suspect it would likely be easier to get all the hair in the right place.

If you're looking for a "blonde" colored bun maker do not buy this. Photo and what the actual product you get is NOT the same at all. Colors are dark red/orange tone not even close to blonde.

I use these bun making on my long hair. The color of these bun makers are dark brown so it is not a problem to use on black hair. It is very easy to use, just put hair in between the bun maker and roll, then wrap the bun maker. It is very simple and effective. My 9 years old daughter can also do it by herself easily. You got four in a pack and it is very good to have them around the house.

The bars are similar to those old “slap bracelets” that would wind around your wrist when you whacked the bracket across it. You capture your hair between 2 of them and then activate the snap to pull the hair together. It works well. I have shoulder length hair that is length and I am able to get a bun at the nap of my neck. I think this would work better with longer hair that was the same length. Totally a life saver for mom’s trying to do their kids ballerina hairdos for class or recitals.

These bun makers are pretty easy to use. For a novice hair bun person it took a few attempts to get the bun securely in position with the desired amount of hair.
