Lunderg Padded Toilet Seat Riser for Seniors - Adds 2 Inches. Universal Fit

My wife has a slipped disk in her lower back and is having surgery in a couple of weeks. In the meantime she's in a lot of pain, and sitting is the absolute worst. We got this to try to take some pressure off her back, and it is working amazingly for her. While we are not a huge fan of having cloth around the toilet, I chose this riser because it was soft (but firm to sit on) and had a better chance of fitting on TOP of our bidet seat than the hard plastic ones. I was right. It fit great on the toilet seat and held super firm with the combination of suction cups and velcro straps. It's not going anywhere, unlike some of the hard plastic ones that simply sit on the bowl.

I have severe arthritis in both my knees. Bending to sit on a toilet seat is more than just difficult, it’s extremely painful. Bought this for my mother because she is getting very thin and there's not much natural padding on her backside anymore. She complains that the regular seat is hard and painful. I got this because she didn't like the plastic or the chrome hinges on a regular padded seat, and we thought that as it became more difficult for her, we could use it on the portable bedside commode as well. I think she's too short to use it properly. She is now under 5ft tall. I'm 5'3" and had no trouble sitting on it, but I'm also not as wobbly as my mom. Every time she tried to use it, the seat would separate and she'd sit between the two arms of the seat. I had to be careful when sitting as well, or it would happen to me. It's a nice seat. It's comfortable. It does seem to create a bit of a splash sometimes... I guess from the higher perch? Overall, it's a good purchase... just maybe not for short people.

This riser allows my husband with current mobility issues to travel so much easier. So many toilets are quite low and this riser allows the additional lift needed. The comfort of the padding and stability of the straps and suction cups as well as the ease of attaching and detaching quickly makes it a terrific product. It does not slip. It fits every toilet seat we’ve used it for. I am going to buy another to keep on hand. I highly recommend this product!

Like how it stays in place and really helps to stand up , one thing that would possibly improve the riser would be if the sides were tapered with the back like it is high on the back and tapered to about 1 1/2 inches so feet could reach the floor. That might give a better lift??? It is great product.

It is bulky and leaves a smaller opening to use the toilet. It stains easily and makes cleaning up around the area difficult. I plan to throw it out when I remove it to do a full santiary toilet cleaning. It's not worth putting back on. It was easy to install, does add two inches, and seems comfortable to sit on.

I returned this. I think my 100# butt wasn't heavy enough. It didn't give at all. If you want something for a single bathroom home, not everyone will appreciate this. It seemed well constructed and was easy to install,.

Easy to set up and comfortable. Since I just got it, I have not cleaned it yet, but it looks like it will be easy. A help after hip surgery.

Bought when I had a fractured knee to save me just throwing myself back towards the loo. Was perfect. The bonus being it was warm to sit on & easy to clean and put on & take off. I mo longer need it, but am keeping it....just in case I injure myself again. I may also sneak it on in the winter as it was so much warmer than my usual loo seat.

This is just what I needed! Toilets are set so low, and I'm 5'8 with bad knees and having to use the toilet made them quite painful. I literally dreaded having to use the washroom, but my fear is gone now. It's soft and firm but it's not too soft or too firm. I don't like not being able to close the lid when I flush but I found a workaround for that., so all good. I like that it has a suction cups because I know it's not going anywhere that way. I could have gotten one of the hard plastic seats that you can put on and off whenever you need it, but sometimes you don't have the time to get the seat positioned. This seat has suction cups to hold it firm so there's no danger of it slipping. I was worried that 3 in height wouldn't be enough, but this is a perfect rise for me. I thought the cost was a little steep for me, but since my knees have no pain from getting on and off the toilet, I can't complain. This seat is definitely worth the money I spent!
