I'd add a photo but the birds love it so much...
Bonka toys in general are favorites of our rescue birds. This Foraging Star is beloved by the budgie, Australian Grassland (much like a finch larger, almost like a parakeet), lovebirds, and conures. I believe the cockatiel would also like it but she is more of a scaredy-bird. The shredder pieces go first, then the sisal. Birds jump on top, dangle from it, and grab it with their feet. The bell is intriguing as is the clapper to the bell. I have this on Subscribe and Save so it can be rotated between the cages to combat boredom. This toy is colorful, has the all-important bell that many birds love, sisal to crunch and tear apart, shredded paper to pull, tug, and toss, and some wood to work out the urge to bite. It has just about everything which is why it's a Subscribe and Save item.

Great toy to keep your bird playing and happy for hours
I received this bonka bird toy when i was suppose to. It is pretty good size and has a lot going on which my cockateil loves about it. She will sit for hours playing with it. We have had it a few months and she has pulled all the paper out of one end of it but she plays with it for hours a day so i think it had held up very well. We will be getting another when she has done as much as she can with this one. It is very colorful and she loves that also.

Pretty and well made
Itโs quite a large toy so it covers a lot of the cage but it is very nice and my bird likes to chew on the wood parts and I occasionally find the streamers in the bottom. I like it!

Sturdy, good quality bird toy for my Amazon!!๐
Ordered this toy for my Amazon parrot who loves to pick at things and pull them apart, and he's really enjoying it!! It's somewhat smaller than I was expecting (it's hard to tell somethings size in a close-up photo!), but no doubt the size was specified and I just overlooked it. Even though on the small size, my bird is giving it a dedicated workout, and it has lasted wayyyy longer than I would have thought it would! Overall, quality better than expected, resulting in a sturdy toy that won't be chewed to dust in a single day! That ALWAYS makes me happy, and Izzy agrees!๐

Meh, it's okay.
Got this product today for my rats and had to do some tinkering with it because of the plastic and foam pieces it has. I can't imagine the foam is safe for birds let alone rats. So i just removed those no big deal, we'll see how my ratties react to it in their cage in an update if there is one. Just know that this toy isn't all wood. It's plastic, some wood, foam, and paper that will probably end up in shreds. Better off getting something else that's less messy

Great For Keeping Your Parrot Busy
Parrots need to have things to destroy to keep them happy. They are not simply contented with plastic, non-destructible toys, they need to shred and chew things. Some wood toys will suit their need to chew things up--but other toys like this one fulfills their needs to destroy and shred things. I've had these before and my bird loves to tear them apart. It keeps him busy and contented for hours and quieter. If you're new to parrot keeping don't buy toys on the basis of longevity alone, but things that they can destroy to fulfill their need for more active chewing activities.

NOT FOR LARGER BIRDS!
First, let me say that I've had parrots since the early 80's and even worked for veterinarians who were avian specialists - so I do have some experience and knowledge and I try to share it when possible. This is not an appropriate toy for birds that are larger than, say, your average conure. It's far too easily destroyed by larger birds and (worse yet) potentially dangerous. I'd hate for Leonard (the African Gray) to get hold of that little bell, for example. Or yank off a huge chunk of the shredded paper and perhaps consider trying to swallow it. However, it has been The Absolute Favorite of Bindy - who is a very small conure and who is not an aggressive chewer. She manages to make it last close to two months before it requires replacement and gets obviously excited when she sees me getting a new one ready for installation.

Smaller than expected
This was a good little too it was just much smaller than I had expected. This is probably best for a conure or small Amazon, not a yellow naped like mine :-) That being said, it is still a nice little toy of good quality.
