Not too sure about this cable, it was much better than a cheaper alternative and lasted a few months, but it is not very flexible. After a few months the cable near the female connector degraded and sound quality suffered when the cable was bent, it was better when straightened out but this rather defeats the object of a flexible extension cable.It is also incompatible with an apple lightning adapter cable, you get terrible interference feeding back through it.Its OK but I expected better for the price and next time I will stick to genuine apple leads.

I bought this cable, which I considered to be overpriced at the time, because I have an iPhone which is in a lifeproof case. The case enables the iPhone to be used underwater, dropped from 6', used on the beach or whilst skiing but it affects the docking ability of the phone.I therefore bought this cable, which is well made but expensive. It did not work with the case as the end that inserts into the iPhone was too thick. If the connection point into the iPhone was of the same dimensions or thinner than that provided by Mac, it would have worked. Given the cost of this product, the secondary postage costs, and CableJive's on line advertising, I expected it to work and was sorely disappointed that it did not.I would not recommend this product and do not consider it value for money.

The extender is perfect, it's being used in my car and allows me to hook up my iPhone to the in-car system which only has a short cable from the factory.I am also having to use a lightning to 30pin adapter because an iPhone 5 won't easily fit in the armrest cubby hole of a Golf VI because of the size of the phone and the overall cable. The extender allows me to connect to the car much more easily.Best of all the phone still charges up and that is even with the lightning to 30pin adapter plugged in as well. So I can confirm this will even pass-through signals via an official Apple lightning to 30pin adapter.

This piece of kit has been accepted by all my 32 pin IOS devices, others haven't for some reason, so I have been able to connect to a partially hidden dock on my Gear4 internet/DAB/FM/Network Media Player and made it usable for the few times I actually resort to playing direct from an IOS device (like if I'm doing a reload/rebuild of my PC).It's a cable and it works, what more can one say....

Expensive in my opinion, but the cable quality reflects the price.
