I loved these beautiful L plates which arrived in less than 24 hours and in time for my visiting grand daughter to apply them to my old ford and careen around the local streets at high speed, yet legally. These L plates adhered perfectly throughout, and on completion of a number of hair raising circuits I was able to easily remove them to the boot, take 2 x 10 gms.,of valium, and retreat to the safety of a dark room. I await my grand daughter's next visit with trepidation, but in the certain knowledge that these L plates will continue to provide the necessary veneer of legitimacy to her best efforts.

Avoid this item, seller is bs'ing. My order just arrived and the plates are paper thin, the magnetism is incredibly weak - a fridge magnet is stronger.I paid a premium price expecting THICK MAGNET L PLATES and what i received was some subpar piece of ****. These plates are the ones that fly off your car when you hit 20mph or when their is a drop of moisture on the panel.

I am a driving instructor and as my new car has a glass roof, magnetic L-plates were needed to replace the traditional magnetic roof sign.I have four on the car (front, rear and on each side) and they do the job perfectly. I've driven 1500 miles in the last two weeks (including 70mph dual carriageways) and they have not moved. That has included rain, wind and shine.As with anything like this, ensure that the car is clean and dry before fitting. Also check that they are lying completely flat on the bodywork (and not positioned on an overly-curved surface).Thoroughly tested and highly recommended.

Bought these to place on our small car when my daughter is practicing her driving - I chose magnetic ones so that they wouldn't damage the paintwork and could be removed if I was driving the car.They initially seemed fine - reasonably thick and they did seem to stick to the metal of the bonnet / boot on the car.However, the magnetic material on the back of the L-Plates is nowhere near strong enough and the front L-Plate (on the bonnet) flew off twice - the first time I managed to find it and use it again for a while, but the second time it was lost completely.These L-Plates are totally unsuitable for most cars - the problem is that if there are any curves at all in the bonnet / boot (which is the case for most cars), the L-Plate will not stick completely to the metal and is likely to eventually fly off (as air gets in underneath it).The fact that they are thicker than some L-Plates may actually be part of the problem - if they were thinner, they would probably shape themselves better to the metal on the car and hence be less likely to fly off.Avoid.

With the entire plate having a solid magnetic back these stick very well to the bodywork, but are easy to remove when not teaching.Unlike the cheaper ones from the local garage which flew off in blustery weather there's no sign of these moving anywhere even when driving down the promenade in 50mph winds brought by storm Gareth. Buy cheap buy, twice certainly applied here. Should have just got these to start with.Give the paintwork a quick wipe with a cloth before sticking these on to remove any small bits of grit as it could put tiny scratches in the paint as you move or remove the plates.

This was of course, all in vain.The L Plates will now adorn the vehicle of a deeply humbled and immensely grateful teenager while she learns the arts of Roadcraft at the hands of her long-suffering Father, whose labours would not be made possible without the magnificent ministrations of the mighty Le Yogi.

Great product and sticks well to the car.I've heard rumours of lots of magnetic L plates listed on Amazon flying off...these do not. My daughter was doing 60 mph down a dual carriageway and both were still on the car when we got back.Some points worth noting *Clean the surface that the L plates will apply to *Make sure you are only sticking these to metal (seriously - this is worth pointing out given some of the reviews I've seen on Amazon) *Measure...these were too big to fit on the back of my Nissan Juke and so I had to cut one down slightly. My fault - not the product.

These L plates are great if you're learning to drive in someone elses car. Very easy to remove when not being driven by a learner, and very strong. Been used for a few months now up to 70mph and have held on perfectly fine.You just have to make sure you attach them to metal, otherwise they won't stay. Most bumpers are plastic so they'd be no good, but fine on the bonnet and boot.
