PlaymobilAdvent Calendar: Trip to the Christmas Market

I recommend this for an older child who has abit of patience- my 9 year old really enjoyed opening over the month of December, and had the patience to open one set at a time. The cardboard scene was fun but her dad needed to assemble it. I'd recommend for patient kids who love playmobile. My daughter thought all the items were cute and has integrated them into her larger playmobil collection.Last year she had a "Christmas Baking" themed set and requested another one. I am assuming they release new themes each year- I hope so, it is now a fun tradition!

The cute cardboard scenery was hard to figure out, but worth it! So cute, and just like the playmobil things i had as a kid. I only wish it had more than one horse.

This advent calendar is so cute. My daughter loves opening this daily to put together the whole thing. We have made this a yearly tradition.

The first frustration was finding no tracks for the wild boar. I checked the photos and they don't show tracks for it, either, so that piece wasn't just missing from our box. Next problem was the star. There's no way to put it on top of the tree and no other way to use it. We can't even tie a ribbon and hang it over the table, so it's useless. Overall, this set is the most disappointing Playmobil set I've bought in over three decades.

So that advent calendar came and my 8 year old daughter was so excited. We’ve been opening it day by day and when we got the first dolls skirt, it was the skirt that’s supposeto go to the second doll (which we hadn’t gotten yet). So we finally get the second doll and then it comes time to get her skirt..which wasn’t there..it was just an empty box. I had been hoping that maybe the skirts just got mixed up but that wasn’t the case. One was totally missing. I had to hide the advent calendar for an extra day just to make up forthe missing box…. That being said, what we have gotten so far has been really cute and my daughter loves it!!! She has been carrying around the first doll with her ever since she opened its box.

Might not even keep it till Christmas, but use it for a count down to a vacation!

Always looking for something unique to add to our Christmas decor, so we loved it at first sight, but hesitated with price. When the price came down a bit, we bought it immediately and loved it - there was more than a day opened at a time, but it added to the Christmas excitement. These are playmobil toys, but the pirate Santa and angry snowman are a great addition to our decorations, particularly with 2 boys who love playmobil, and picking sides/teams. I stored them away with the decorations after the holidays so we can have a fun display next year. The advent calendar is as expected - didn't disappoint, just a bit pricey.
