Works great
I have used this for years. I apply two coats and it protects all my indoor and outdoor chair cushions. I would not use anything else.

Vectra on Velvet? You better believe it!
This stuff is LEGIT! I purchased a custom, handmade, blue velvet sofa - totally impractical and totally awesome - for a seldom used music room in my home. After a couple of years, we downsized and decided this sofa would become our primary living room seating. After reading reviews for other upholstery protectants, I was very hesitant to spray any of them onto my sofa, but knew I would need to protect the finicky velvet. Most products to not guarantee to not ruin velvet and reviews say it will make it crunchy. After much research, I finally decided Vectra was going to be the product for me. However, just to be sure, I emailed Vectra directly to ask about using the product on velvet, and, much to my surprise, they emailed me back directly the same day to say "YES, Vectra can be used on Velvet, Spray a fine mist. Do not saturate." I was already sold on the product, but that kind of customer service will have me coming back again and again. As Vectra suggested, I sprayed a fine mist all over the sofa. I sprayed it on a hardwood floor, and put down towels around the sofa after a few sprays. I believe the product has mineral oil in it, which made the floor a little slippery, but was very easy to clean up (and actually made the wood look shiny and brand new! :) No big deal at all, but something to be aware of it you are spraying a surface on a hard floor. I purchased two bottles to spray one sofa and had WAY more than enough. I think I only used about 1/3 of one bottle, and proceeded to use the rest to spray ever other piece of furniture I could find!I have now been using this sofa as my primary seating for almost a year and can say it still looks as good as it did they day I bought it. Stains never set in, liquids don't just soak in immediately, and even crumbs just brush right off more easily than they did before. Vectra is truly amazing. It will protect your furniture and keep it looking brand new. Easy to apply, no terrible smell, and dried relatively quickly. Cannot recommend this product more highly.

Recommended by sales man
Sprayed chairs and it did not stain the chairs. No stains so far. It was recommended by my salesman at furniture store.

No overwhelming odors
Bought this to use on some sunroom furniture. Easy to use and honestly it didn't have the over powering of most sprays. I kept a window open for a couple of hours and after closing up everything went out the following morning and couldn't smell anything at all.As far as it's ability to repel spills etc, too soon to tell

Perfect non toxic protective finish for my oatmeal colored couch
I sprayed Vectra spray all over my new oatmeal linen colored couch. It does not smell, does not change the color of the fabric, and does not change the feel of the fabric. That said, I only sprayed Vectra once and when I spilled water on the couch, some droplets stayed on the surface surface, while others penetrated the upholstery. I therefore recommend spraying each furniture piece twice to ensure full coverage. The spray spout does sometimes emit droplets rather than mist, creating oil spots. I simply spilled baking powder onto any oil spots, let then soak up the oil for a few hours, then vacuumed the baking powder. The couch looked as good as new.

A super protectant
I like that a quality sprayer came with this excellent protectant. Great on carpeting makes spot cleaning easier.

4.5 stars, really?????
I bought twice as much of this stuff as the description said I needed, generously covered a couch and chair with it, and not only did it not repel any liquids, but removing stains actually became more difficult since applying the stuff! To make sure I wasn't imagining this I tested it by spilling a little bit of the same sauce on the throw pillow that came with the couch (i had not sprayed the pillow with this product and the pillow is made of the same outer material as the couch) and sure enough, I was able to get the sauce out of the untreated pillow but not the treated couch! Ummm.....If you need any more evidence that this stuff does not work, listen to this: After a couple of months of having this white couch and chair (not a good color decision if you decide to have kids) and, watching the white turn to all sorts of ugly dingy tans and browns and whatever other colors from the stains it was accumulating (that the vectra spray was supposed to be preventing), I decided to buy some fabric dye and dye the couch and chairs gray (the fabric is removable so I was able to dye them in the washer). Now you would THINK that if vectra spray did what it was actually supposed to do, that my attempts at dying treated fabric would not be successful because the vectra spray should have repelled at least SOME of the dye. I was actually worried about this happening and having an uneven dye job. But very interestingly, my dye job was completely successful and the couch an chair are now a deep and even dark grey color, despite the fact that I sprayed the heck out of them with vectra just a couple of months before dying them! For me that was the final proof that this product is completely useless, at least on cotton. Lots of fumes and headache and a waste well over $100, not to mention time, for absolutely no benefit.
